    • Connectors with a lever in which a pair of male and female connectors are mated with and disconnected from each other by rotating the lever. The lever having cam grooves and a lock portion is rotatably attached to the female connector. Cam pins are attached to the male connector. When both connectors are initially mated with each other, the cam pins engage with the cam grooves, and when the lever is rotated in a direction in which both connectors are mated with each other, the male connector moves toward the female connector. An elastic locking member is interposed between the lever and the female connector. An operational portion, reverse spring portions for urging the lever toward a direction opposite to that in which both connectors are mated, and lock spring portions to be engaged with the lock portion of the lever so as to maintain the lever in a locked position, are all integrally formed in the elastic locking member. The elastic locking member is elastically displaced by pressing the operational portion so as to disengage the lock portion of the lever from the lock spring portions of the elastic locking member. The reverse spring portions retain the lever in the released position. The locking member for locking the lever and the reverse spring portions for retaining the lever in a released position are integrally formed.

    • A connector device for connecting and disconnecting female and male connectors by use of a fitting operation lever which allows easy and accurate confirmation of the incomplete fitting of the connectors to thereby prevent such incomplete fitting. The device includes a fitting operation lever (5), which is rotatably disposed in a female connector (A) and has a driving groove (6) in the front end portion thereof, and a driven pin (11) which is provided in a male connector (B) and is engageable with the drive groove (6). The connecting device connects the female and male connectors (A) and (B) with each other and disconnects them from each other upon rotation of the fitting operation lever (5). When the connectors are only partially connected to each other, there is some space for free and easy movement in the operation lever which allows the lever (5) to rotate in the reverse, un-locking direction due to its own weight. Thus, the incomplete connection can be visually detected.

In a state where the initial position holding protrusions are engaged with the connector to prevent the lever from being rotated, when the male connector is inserted into the female connector, the latch pins release the protrusions from engagement with the female connector to permit the fitting lever to be rotatable. Thus, the initial position of the lever rotatably attached to the connector can be assured without using any spring.

    • The low-operating-force connector consists of a pair of female and male housings. The male housing has on the opposite sides driven pins, while the female housing has pin guide grooves for the driven pins. A cam member is rotatably mounted on the female housing, which consists of levers each including a cam groove and a lever handle connecting the levers. The housings are fitted with or separated from each other through rotation of the cam member. A pair of resilient locking pieces are provided on the outer periphery of the male housing, the locking pieces each including an engagement projection, while a corresponding pair of engagement portions are provided on the lever handle. Springs are so provided between the levers of the cam member and the female housing as to urge the cam member into an upright opened position. On completion of the coupling of the female and male housings, the cam member is locked by the engagement between the engagement projections and portions. When the engagement projections and portions are disengaged, the cam member is opened by the resilient action of the springs up to a starting position for separating the housings.
