    • A connector fitting construction in which a half-fitted condition is positively prevented when fitting a pair of female and male connectors together, and a connector-inserting force, required for the fitting operation, can be reduced. In this connector fitting construction, one of the two connectors has a slider receiving portion (4), formed by an exclusive-use housing (3b), and has a lock arm (6) on which a lock beak (7), having a slanting surface, is formed. A slider (10) has a pair of abutment projections (14) formed on a lower surface of a slider body (11), and a slide groove (13). The abutment projections (14) can be received respectively in side spaces (4a) provided respectively at opposite sides of the lock arm (6) within the slider receiving portion (4). The lock beak (7) can be fitted in the slide groove (13). Notches (33) for allowing a temporary upward movement of a front end portion (11a) of the slider body (11) are formed in the exclusive housing (3b), and a forwardly downwardly-slanting surface is formed on a front edge (33a) of each notch (33).

    • A connector device for connecting and disconnecting female and male connectors by use of a fitting operation lever which allows easy and accurate confirmation of the incomplete fitting of the connectors to thereby prevent such incomplete fitting. The device includes a fitting operation lever (5), which is rotatably disposed in a female connector (A) and has a driving groove (6) in the front end portion thereof, and a driven pin (11) which is provided in a male connector (B) and is engageable with the drive groove (6). The connecting device connects the female and male connectors (A) and (B) with each other and disconnects them from each other upon rotation of the fitting operation lever (5). When the connectors are only partially connected to each other, there is some space for free and easy movement in the operation lever which allows the lever (5) to rotate in the reverse, un-locking direction due to its own weight. Thus, the incomplete connection can be visually detected.

    • A connector comprises a female connector member and a male connector member adapted to be fitted in the female connector member. An angularly moving arm is provided which is pivotably supported by the female connector member. The angularly moving arm is engaged with the male connector member. A detecting section is provided on the angularly moving arm and has a perforation. A reflecting section is provided on the male connector member. The reflecting section is so arranged as to be opposed to the detecting section under a condition that the angularly moving member is engaged with the male connector member. In a preferred embodiment, the detecting section includes a plurality of slits each of which has a predetermined width and which constitute a bar code.

    • A connector for electrically interconnecting first terminals and second terminals connected respectively to wirings is disclosed. The connector is capable of detecting a fitted condition between the first and second terminals by a fitted-condition detector. The connector includes a first connector element and a second connector element. The first connector element has a connector body. The first terminals are retained by the connector body. The first connector element is fitted in the second connector element, and the second connector element retains the second terminals fitted with respect to the first terminals. A flexible lock arm is provided integrally on the first connector element. A space is defined between the lock arm and the connector body. An engaging portion is formed on the second connector element. The lock arm is engaged with the engaging portion when the first connector element and the second connector element are perfectly fitted in each other. A fitting detecting section is arranged within the space between the connector body and the lock arm of the first connector element and is capable of detecting the fitted condition between said first and second connector elements by the fitted-condition detector.
