    • The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for handling a handover of a transmission connection between a user equipment and a network node within a mobile communications network. An aspect of the invention is a method for handling a handover of a transmission connection between a user equipment and a network node within a mobile communications network, whose serving radio cells serving the user equipment provide control information on shared control channels, whereby during the handover a limited amount of shared control channels are monitored by the user equipment. Hereby a first part of the amount of shared control channels is associated with a first serving radio cell and a second part of said amount of shared channels is associated with a second serving radio cell, over that the transmission connection should be handed. In particular data packets regarding the transmission connection in priority queues (Prio 1, Prio 2) in the network node (Node B 2) are reordered with respect to said transmission connection. Preferably, corresponding reordering the content of the priority queues are maintained by the user equipment. A further aspect of the invention lies in corresponding network nodes and/or entities, e.g. control entity, base station (Node B), radio network controller (RNC) comprising means for performing the above mentioned method.
