摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ballast compactor enabling compacting work to be carried out efficiently. SOLUTION: A ballast compactor includes a truck 4 traveling on a rail, oscillating arms 7, 7 provided near the right and left side edges of the truck 4 in such a way as to be capable of oscillating vertically, and an expansion cylinder 8 causing oscillation of the oscillating arm 7. The ballast compactor also includes a rolling compaction roller 5 freely rotationally provided at the end of the oscillating arm 7, for compacting the area outside the rail, and a vibrator attached to or near the end of the oscillating arm 7 to vibrate the roller 5.
