    • PURPOSE:To permit color matching, uniformity of durability quality and reduction of a painting cost by using a paint essentially consisting of a resin having =400% at 20 deg.C and >=100% at -20 deg.C as a universal primer. CONSTITUTION:The paint essentially consisting of the resin having =400% at 20 deg.C and >=100% at -20 deg.C is used. Various pigments may be incorporated therein. An ordinary org. solvent, and as necessary, a surface conditioning agent, settlement preventive agent, photo- and thermal deterioration preventive agent, etc., are compounded therewith. An automobile body panel 1 is degreased and a chemical conversion film 2 and an electrodeposition primer film 3 are formed thereon. Resin parts 11 are then attached thereto and a universal primer is coated thereon to form a coated film 4. A known intermediate coated film 5 and a finish coated film 6 are formed thereon and are subjected to baking and curing treatments. Pitting resistance, finish characteristic, and others are improved by the universal coated film and at the same time, the color matching is made possible by painting. The durable quality is thus improved and the cost is reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To make the coated paint of the material to be coated uniform by making the charge to be electrified different in a part in which the charge given from the rear of the material to be coated is condensed and the other part.
      CONSTITUTION: Paint is discharged from a spray gun 2 in a spray-like state and also electrified with the positive or negative charge. The material 3 to be coated is supported on a barer 4 of the back side and the first conductor 5a is provided between the barer 4 and the material 3 and the second conductor 5b is provided to a part such as the corners condensed with charge. The conductors are impressed with the charge opposite to the charge of paint but the potential difference is provided between the first conductor 5a and the second conductor 5b. Thereby a uniform film can be formed for even the material to be coated having the complex shapes.

    • PURPOSE: Hydrophobic surfaces are coated with a specific pretreatment and then coated with water-diluted coating during the pretreatment is yet in wet state, thus being good in coating operability and giving cured coating films with good appearance free from pinhole and cissing.
      CONSTITUTION: The same component resin as at least one of the resin components of the water-dilutable coating used for the top coating such as water-dilutable amino-alkyd resin, or along with another water-dilutable resin compatible with the former resin are dissolved in an organic solvent as isopropanol to prepare the resin solution for pretreatment. Hydrophobic surfaces are undercoated with the pretreatment, then while the coating film of the pretreatment is still in wet state, a water- dilutable coating is coated thereon as top coating. Subsequently, the films of pretreatment and top coating are simultaneously dried and cured by heating.

    • PURPOSE:To decrease the sticking of dust by subjecting an automotive body to a basic treatment consisting of a pretreatment, primer coating, intermediate coating and finish coating then to treatments including sealing, fusible insulator setting, undercoating, etc. CONSTITUTION:The automotive body is subjected to the basic treatment consisting of the pretreatment, primer coating, intermediate coating and finish coating and is then subjected to the ancillary treatments consisting of the sealing and fusible insulator setting for the purpose of water-proofing, dust-proofing and rust prevention as well as the undercoating for the purpose of sound insulation, vibration-proofing and rust prevention. The basic treatment from the pretreatment to the finish coating is finished continuously at one time and therefore the sticking of the dust which is liable to be proportional to the exposure time is considerably decreased. Since the ancillary treatment including the sealing, insulation setting, undercoating, etc. where there are many chances for dust sticking is executed after the end of the above-mentioned basic treatment, the sticking of the dust is extremely little.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate generation of unevenness or the like of a painted surface by providing a connector capable of connecting a spray gun connector to a predetermined position of a subline for recycling a paint provided along a main line for supplying the paint to prevent precipitation of a pigment. CONSTITUTION:Because, during painting work, a connector 10 provided to a leading end of a pait hose 9 is inserted into a connector provided to a spray gun 11 to carry out painting, a paint is a branch cock 7, a pressure controller 8 and the paint hose 9 has flow velosity and a pigment therein is not precipitated in insides thereof. On the other hand, when the work is interrupted, the connector 10 is withdrawn from the spray gun 11 and inserted into a connector 15 of a subline 12 to connect the paint hose 9 as shown by a broken line and, thereafter, the branch cock 13 is opened. Because the paint in the hose 9 has flow velosity and flowed into the subline 12 and recycled until the paint tank 1, the pigment of the paint can be prevented from being separated and precipitated in the hose.
