    • PURPOSE:To enable a superconductor to be possessed of a magnetic shielding function as it is kept in the state of powder omitting a sintering process by a method wherein a magnetic shielding device is composed of a magnetic shielding wall which consists of the high temperature superconductive oxide powder as a main component and a means to cool it. CONSTITUTION:An effectual magnetic shielding wall is structured in such a manner that the outer faces of the wall are composed of a non-magnetic material and the high temperature superconductive oxide powder is filled between the outer faces, or the high temperature superconductive oxide powder and a binding agent and moreover an organic solvent if necessary are kneaded and molded to form the wall, or the wall is composed of non-magnetic material and a magnetic shielding layer formed by kneading the high temperature superconductive oxide powder and a binding agent and moreover an organic solvent if necessary and applying them onto one or both sides of the base material, or the like. The above superconductor powder denotes a high temperature superconductor powder of ceramic material which is equal to or smaller than 1mm in diameter and grows superconductive at a temperature higher than that of liquid nitrogen of 77K, and the ceramic material is an oxide such as Y-Ba-Cu-O oxide (oxide whose oxygen is partially substituted by fluorine is included.)
