SOLUTION: In a circumferential flow type fuel pump, an impeller 21 is connected to an extended portion from a bearing 51 of a rotary shaft 4, while a fuel flow passage 201 is formed on a concentric portion. A pressure regulating part 6 is arranged on a position with the same direction around the rotary shaft 4 as in a downstream part 201b of the fuel flow passage 201, and opposed to a peripheral surface of an armature 31 of a motor 3 connected to the rotary shaft 4. Force to be applied to the impeller 21 due to fuel pressure of the fuel flow passage 201 whose downstream part 201b is high and force to be applied to the armature 31 due to the fuel pressure around the armature 31 of the pressure regulating part 6, whose position is high are balanced around the bearing 51.
