    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a mean distribution of temperature within a furnace and further to enable an item to be heated to be uniformly heated by a method wherein one burner of a plurality of installed burners is selected optionally and combusted for a short period of time, and after this operation one burner is also optionally selected to perform a repeated random heated operation for a continuous combustion for a short period of time. SOLUTION: One burner 2 is optionally selected from a plurality of installed burners 2 and combustion is carried out for a short period of time. After this operation, an item to be heated is further heated while a random heating for performing combustion for a short period of time is performed repeatedly. This random heating control flow is performed by a sequence control with an adjusting meter 5 or a computer control as one part of an automatic combustion control sequence such as a PID control or a fuzzy control or the like. Accordingly, a position of a flame formed within a furnace 1 is changed at random within a short period of time so as to increase a temperature within the furnace through a mean temperature distribution in which a local occurrence of high temperature region is restricted. Due to this fact, the item to be heated is uniformly heated and a heating processing amount is increased.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To uniformly heat material to be heated by leveling a temperature distribution in a furnace. SOLUTION: An industrial furnace includes a plurality of ports 2 which are provided with heat storage bodies 7 and supply and discharge gas through the heat storage bodies 7, a circulator 6 which rises the pressure of furnace gas which is temporarily discharged out of the furnace from the port 2 through the heat storage bodies 7 by means of a circulating fan 9 and again blows off the furnace gas into the furnace from the different ports through the heat storage bodies 7 connected with the ports, control means 5 which selects suction ports and blow-off ports from a plurality of ports 2 at random and switches positions where the furnace gas is discharged out of the furnace and positions where the furnace gas is blown off into the furnace at random in a short time, and a heat source. The heat source comprises a plurality of burners. Material to be heated is heated such that some burners are selected from a plurality of burners at random and are burnt for a short time and thereafter some burners are again selected at random and are burnt for a short time and such a random burning is repeated.
