摘要： In a process for the synthesis of C-labeled methyl iodide which comprises producing CO2 by the irradiation of proton beam, supplying CO2 gas to a collector of CO2 gas, bubbling CO2 gas into a reducing agent solution to reduce CO2, removing the reducing agent solution by the evaporation, synthesizing CH3I from the reduced product of CO2, and recovering CH3I by distillation, the termination point of the CO2 gas supply, the termination point of the bubbling, the termination of the evaporation of the reducing agent solution or the termination point of the distillation of CH3I is decided by a radiation sensor provided in the vicinity of the reaction vessel or the transfer tube connecting the target box wherein CO2 gas is generated or a temperature sensor provide in the exhaust tube of the reaction vessel. The synthesizing time is shortened, and the yield of CH3I is improved by improving the utilization of CO2 gas and the recovery of CH3I of which the half-life is very short.

摘要： PURPOSE:To judge the time of completing evaporation of a reducing agent solution from a change in output of temperature in a vent pipe connected to a reaction vessel and advantageously obtain the objective compound in a short time by sensing the aforementioned temperature in synthesizing the subject compound from gaseous carbon dioxide labeled with C. CONSTITUTION: CH3I useful as a labeling compound for a position emission tomography (PET) system used in a position tomographic testing method is synthesized by a step for producing CO2 gas labeled with C in a target box 4, a step for bubbling the produced CO2 gas into a reducing agent solution in a reaction vessel 14, a step for evaporating and removing the reducing agent solution after completing the bubbling and a step for synthesizing the CH3I from an intermediate reduced in the bubbling step. In the process, temperature in a vent pipe 15 connected to the reaction vessel 14 is sensed with a temperature sensor 21 to judge the time of completing evaporation of the reducing agent solution from a change (b) in output thereof. Thereby, the reducing agent solution is completely evaporated under any conditions to reduce danger of failure in synthesis. The synthesis time of the CH3I is simultaneously shortened.

In the process, radiation from the reaction vessel 14 is sensed with a radiation sensor 21 to judge the time of completing the above-mentioned bubbling and aforementioned distillation from changes (b) and (d) in outputs thereof. Thereby, utilization factor of the CO2 gas and recovery ratio of the CH3I are enhanced and the synthesis and recovery time of the CH3I is simultaneously shortened.

In the process, radiation in a step 7 for feeding the aforementioned CO2 gas is sensed with a radiation sensor 22 to judge the time of completing the feed of the CO2 gas with a change (b) in output thereof. Thereby, utilization efficiency of the CO2 gas is enhanced and the synthesis time of the CH3I is simultaneously shortened.
