    • PURPOSE:To automatically and adequately control an Si content by measuring the Si content in a molten iron and charging the desiliconizing agent of the amt. corresponding thereto into the molten iron. CONSTITUTION:The consumption unit D of the desiliconizing agent is determined by a means 31 for computing the consumption unit of the desiliconizing agent in accordance with the temp. of the molten iron 12 from a measuring probe 20 and the Si content computed by a means 30 for computing the Si value from an Si sensor output. On the other hand, a tapping rate is computed in a computing means 32 by the weight of the molten iron detected with a load cell 22. The charging rate of the desiliconizing agent is determined by a computing means 33 from the tapping rate and the above-mentioned consumption unit D. The opening degree of a valve 35 having a proportional relation with the above-mentioned charging rate is regulated by the charging rate of the desiliconizing agent with a flow rate regulator 34. Compressed air 35 is sent into a desiliconizing agent tank 37 at the flow rate meeting the opening degree of the valve 35. The desiliconizing agent proportional to this flow rate is fed into the molten iron 12 via a charging lance 38, by which the Si content to be fed in the molten iron 12 is controlled.

    • PURPOSE:To automatically detect variation of emissivity and to measure temp. of molten iron with high accuracy by measuring temp. at tip part in a protecting tube submerged into the molten iron with a radiation thermometer and correcting this output with the measured temp. with a consumable type R thermocouple. CONSTITUTION:The hemisphere-shaped tip part of radiation thermometer composed of a detecting head 5, connecting tube 6 and the protecting tube 7 is submerged into the molten iron 2 flowing down in an iron tapping trough 1. This radiation thermometer detects the temp. at the tip part in the above protecting tube 7 and this is processed with a signal processing circuit 10 to output the temp. signal. This temp. signal is recorded with a recorder 11 and also, the molten iron temp. is calculated with a computer 12 based on the above output and the prescribed correction factor. In the above molten iron temp. continuously measuring instrument, based on the output of the above radiation thermometer and the molten iron temp. measured with the consumable type R thermocouple 13, the above correction factor is corrected and the corrected correction factor is used to execute calculation of the molten iron temp. By this method, regardless of the variation of emissivity of the molten iron 2 and the protecting tube 7, the temp. of molten iron 2 can be measured with high accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent clogging of a molten iron tapping hole and to smoothen iron tapping and slag tapping works by arranging a brick body in inner part of a smelting reduction furnace, forming the molten iron tapping hole in there and extending inlet end of the molten iron tapping hole to furnace center direction. CONSTITUTION:In the smelting reduction furnace 1 for executing the smelting reduction to iron series metal oxide with carbonaceous material, the brick body 5 forming extended hole of the molten iron tapping hole 4 in there, is set at the molten iron tapping hole 4 part in the furnace. By this constitution, the inlet end 6 of the above molten iron tapping hole 4 is extended to the furnace center direction. Then, it is desirable to arrange the above brick body 5 so that the above inlet end 6 positions to 0.5-1.0R (wherein, R is radius at the furnace bottom) from the wall in the furnace. By this method, the slag tapping time is made to early and the clogging of the molten iron tapping hole 4 caused by solidification of the slag 11 is prevented and the iron tapping and the slag tapping work can be smoothened.
