    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a closing method of a non-closed fitting pipe unnecessary for any large opening work or removing work under execution, and capable of employing an effective countermeasures to the non-closed fitting pipe by a method of excellent construction and working efficiency and at low cost. SOLUTION: In the closing method of the non-closed fitting pipe, an execution robot 1 of a conveying device with a closing cap 6 and a cap elevating/lowering device 3 being mounted thereon is carried in for installation into a sewage system main pipe 8 buried in the ground via a manhole 9, and the execution robot 1 is traveled in the sewage system main pipe 8 and moved to the burial position of the underground non-closed fitting pipe 10 connected to the sewage system main pipe 8 and necessary for treatment. Thereafter, the closing cap 6 is elevated by the elevating/lowering device 3 and inserted in the main pipe side of the non-closed fitting pipe 10. An outer circumferential surface of the closing cap 6 is press-fitted to an inner circumferential surface of the non-closed fitting pipe 10 and fixed thereto, and the non-closed fitting pipe 10 is sealed by the closing cap 6 and closed. When the valve device 11 is released from the fixation, the valve device 11 is extruded into the manhole by water pressure outside the manhole peripheral wall to open the case 21.
