摘要： PURPOSE:To contrive to secure the mechanical strength, the heat resistance and the impact resistance, also improve the durability of the titled glow plug by a method wherein a supporting body formed by the integral sintering is utilized, the outer side part of a lead wire is formed by a mixture of Si3N4 and Al2O3 and a central part of the lead wire is formed by Si3N4. CONSTITUTION:A ceramic heater 1 is composed of an outer periphery part 11 having U-shaped section and a central part 12 pinched between the outer periphery part 11. The both parts are composed of MoSi2+Si3N4 powder,and sintered bodies formed by a mixture having the same mixing proportion. At this time, an average particle diameter of the MoSi2 at the outer periphery part 11 is made smaller than that of the Si3N4, inversely, an average particle diameter of the MoSi2 at the central part 12 is made larger than that of the Si3N4. A conductive MoSi2 particle surrounds the Si3N4 particle and contacts with each other at the outer periphery part 11, while the specific resistance at the outer periphery part 11 is larger then that of central part 11. Lead wires 3a, 3b are embedded in a supporting body 2, a central part 22 and an outer periphery part 221 are respectively made of Si3N4, Al2O3. The ceramic heater is integrally sintered under the state that the lead wires 3a, 3b made of tungsten are embedded at the border of those materials.

Then the component c is sintered by a hot press to form aggregated parts A having particles of the component b in an island state, to give a sintered texture wherein the aggregated parts are surrounded by the particles of the component a and a ceramic material having >=10 OMEGAcm specific resistance of sintered material is obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain an ignition period sensor which is reliable for a long period by boring a through-hole in a case flank between the tip opening part of a case which holds a light guide rod and the tip part of the light guide rod. CONSTITUTION:This sensor is equipped with the light guide rod 30 made of a photoconductive such as a quartz rod, a cylindrical case 32 made of metal with high heat resistance for holding the rod 30 while a combustion chamber is shielded from the outside air, and a photodetecting element which is arranged opposite the rear end of the rod 30 and photodetects and converts combustion light guided by the rod 30 into an electric signal. Further, the through-hole 70 is bored in the flank of a tube 32A between the tip opening part 32D of the tube 32A at the case tip part where the rod 30 is held and the light guide rod tip 30A. Combustion gas flows from the opening part 32D to the through- hole 70, so the gas flows at a relatively high speed at the rod tip 30A. Thus, the stagnant part of the combustion gas is eliminated at the rod tip part 30A, so a soot substance is prevented from sticking.
