    • PURPOSE:To form fingerprint data having sufficiently high contrast necessary for fingerprint collation by adjusting a binarizing threshold for binarizing a difference image so as to increase/decrease it and determining a lower limit value to the binarizing threshold. CONSTITUTION:A difference between fingerprint data and background image data respectively obtained by a fingerprint data sampling means 3 and a background image data sampling means 2 is found out and binarized based upon a threshold through a difference image binarizing means 4 and outputted as a binary gradation data. A dark/light ratio calculating means 5 calculates the dark/light ratio of the binary data obtained by the means 4 and a threshold changing means 6 increases/decreases the threshold of the means 4 so that the dark/light ratio calculated by the means 5 is included within a prescribed range. When the changed threshold is more than the previously determined lower limit and the dark/light ratio is included within the prescribed range, a collating means 7 collates the binary data with previously registered fingerprint data.

    • PURPOSE:To maintain good steering characteristics precisely corresponding to a running condition by providing a means for making judgement as to whether the condition is outside a predetermined range, and changing a driving force distribution ratio of front wheel to rear wheel when the condition is outside said range. CONSTITUTION:An indication means M3 outputs a driving force distribution ratio of front wheel to rear wheel to a driving force distribution means M2, corresponding to steering characteristics set by a setting means M1. On the other hand, an operation means M5 calculates a range of running conditions on the basis of detection by a steering characteristics and steering condition detecting means M4, and a judgement means M7 makes judgement as to whether a running condition detected by a detecting means M6 is within a predetermined range. An instruction for maintaining said distribution ratio when the running condition is within the range, and an instruction for increasing or decreasing the ratio when the condition is outside the range, are respectively outputted to a driving force distribution means M2. According to the aforesaid constitution, the driving force distribution can be controlled to maintain the steering characteristics, even when the running condition has given a change.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain the stable brake feeling by individually controlling the variation of the brake power for the front and rear wheels when a vehicle is brake-applied and suppressing the speed variation of the rear wheels. CONSTITUTION:An electronic control unit 12 performs a variety of calculations by receiving each signal of the hydraulic sensors 7, 7a and 7c and wheel sensors 8 and 8a which correspond to each wheel through signal lines 9 and 10, and a control signal is supplied to an actuator 3 from a signal line 11 so that the wheel lock is prevented. Each of the right and left front wheel actuators 3a and 3b and a rear wheel actuator 3c has a solenoid valve 31 for switching the hydraulic pressure to the pressure increasing, maintaining, and reducing mode, and a reservoir and pump part 32 which temporarily stores brake liquid when the brake hydraulic pressure is reduced and which returns the brake liquid to a master cylinder side, and the hydraulic pressure outputted from the actuators 3a-3c is transmitted to the wheel cylinder of each wheel brake 5, and each wheel is brake-applied.
