CONSTITUTION:An axially slidable spool 3 is put inside a cylindrical housing having a supply port communicated with an oil pressure supply source, a working oil port communicated with a hydraulic actuator and a relief port communicated with a reservoir tank. The spool 3 is cylindrical and has both at the central large-diameter part 32 thereof an opening 33 communicated with an inside return flow passage 31 and at the opposing ends axially extending supplementary openings 331 and 332. Large-diameter parts 34 and 35 at the opposing ends of the spool have slits 341 and 351. Since the opening area of the ports are changed gradually at the change-over time of the valve, variation in oil pressure may be moderated.

    • PURPOSE:To enhance the response characteristic while to improve control accuracy, by controlling an error, between the target steering angle and the actual steering angle, and a steering angular speed to be focused toward zero while restricted to a selective line determined on the basis of a predetermined switching function part. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic means M4, which obtains a target steering angle in accordance with an output of a vehicle running condition detecting means M1, is provided, and an error, between this target steering angle and the actual steering angle by a steering angle detecting means M2, is obtained by an arithmetic means M6. While a device provides a steering condition discriminating means M5 which discriminates whether or not the steering action is in a finished condition on the basis of said error and the output of a steering angular speed detecting means M3. And a control means M7 outputs an electric instruction value, by which the above described error and a steering angular speed are focused to zero while restricted to a selective line obtained on the basis of a predetermined switching function, while the output is corrected so as to reduce a focusing speed when the steering action is in a finished condition, thus a steering mechanism M9 is controlled by the electric instruction value in the above.

    • PURPOSE: To provide an air pressure detecting device free from risk of misjudgement by extracting the resonance frequency component from a tire vibration signal at the time of running, comparing the vibration signal level of the left and the right wheel with the set values, and detecting the air pressure condition on the basis of the resonance frequency computed from the selected resonance frequency component. CONSTITUTION: Wheel speed sensors consisting of pulsers 2a-2d and pickup coils 3a-3b are furnished on the front/rear left tires and the front/rear right tires 1a-1d, and the sensing signal is fed to an ECU 4 and processed according to a specified program, and the obtained result is displayed on a display 5. That is, the resonance frequency component is extracted from the input signal, and the sizes of the vibration signal levels for the left and right wheels are compared with the set values so that the signal of resonance frequency component is selected. From the selected signal the resonance frequency is calculated, and the condition signal for the air pressure based upon the resonance frequency is fed to the display part 5. Accordinglly no sensing takes place at steep cornering or when ABS or TRC is in operation, and the vibratory noises other than originating from the tire are removed selectively, and thereby the air pressure condition of the tire can be sensed accurately.

    • PURPOSE:To control the steering response speed of a wheel to an optimum value, by a method wherein, even when turbulence and the like is not exerted on the wheel, control is made so that an actual steering angle is prevented from the occurrence of overshoot from a target steering angle. CONSTITUTION:A target steering angle computing means 610 calculates a target steering angle thetac from signals from state detecting groups 1a-1c, and an actual steering angle computing means 611 and a steering angle computing means 612 calculate an actual steering angle thetar and a steering angle velocity X2 from a signal from a rear wheel steering angle sensor 2. An error computing means 613 calculates the error of each of the target steering angle thetac and the steering angle thetar, and a switching function correcting means 618 determines a factor C according to the state detecting groups 1a-1c. A gain switching function computing means 614 determines switching functions L1 and L2 from an error X1, a steering angle velocity X2, and the factor C, based on the L1 and L2 a final command value computing means 617 is actuated through a fundamental computing means 615, a correction item computing means to output a given signal to a drive circuit 180. The drive circuit 180 outputs an average current I to a servo motor 5 to steer a steering mechanism 3.

    • PURPOSE:To accurately and rapidly carry out the setting of a cylinder at a desired position, by carrying out the control of cylinder strokes by using its anticipated stroke position which reflects its actual stroke position through a signal from its position detector. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controller 4 receives the signals from a vehicle speed sensor 41 for detecting the running speed of a vehicle, a steering angle sensor 42 for detecting its steering angle, a position detecting sensor 43 for detecting that the stroke position of a cylinder device 16 reaches a predetermined location, and then anticipates the position of expansion of the cylinder device 16 according to the signals transferred from the speed sensor 41 and the steering angle sensor 42, and then corrects the position anticipated of its expansion according to the signal from the position detecting sensor 43, thereby setting the cylinder device 16 at this anticipated expansion position. The control of the cylinfer stroke is thus enabled by open-loop control, so that the stroke position of the cylinder device 16 can be accurately as well as rapidly set to its aimed position.
