    • A fuel injection valve of a diesel engine, comprising a valve body including a concave conical surface in the tip portion of the valve body, and fuel injection holes extending from the concave surface to the outside of the valve body, and a needle valve movable in the valve body and including a cylindrical shaft portion, a first conical surface adjacent to the shaft portion and having a conical angle smaller than that of the concave surface, the lower edge of the first conical surface defining a contact line separably contacting with the concave surface, a second conical surface adjacent to the first surface and having a conical angle substantially equal to that of the concave surface, a third conical surface adjacent to the second surface and having a conical angle greater than that of the concave surface. In case of a smaller lift amount of the needle valve, the fuel flow speed flowing into the fuel injection hole is fast and the atomized fuel injection divergence angle from the injection hole is great, thereby producing active producing mixing of the fuel with the air and enhancing the ignition feature, while in case of a greater lift amount, the fuel flow speed is slow and the atomized fuel injection divergence angle from the injection hole is small, thereby increasing the fuel flow reach and producing an active mixing of the fuel with the air by virtue of the kinetic energy of the atomized fuel flow.

    • PURPOSE:To make an excessive fuel flow hardly occur, and reduce a fuel pressure loss by providing at least one end of a bar filter body with a sectional area reduction section gradually becoming smaller toward the end of a bar filter. CONSTITUTION:A fuel passage area cellularized with the internal surface of a fuel passage and the external surface of a bar filter body 16 is gradually reduced from an upstream side to a downstream side with a cross section reduction section 28 at the downstream end of a bar filter 15. The aforesaid area is also gradually enlarged from the upstream side to the downstream side with a cross section reduction section 29 at the downstream end of the bar filter 15. A fuel pressure loss can be reduced by gradually changing the cross sectional area of the fuel passage at the upstream and downstream sides of the bar filter 15. Also, a foreign material in fuel can be removed in a gap between the small bore section of the bar filter 15 and the inner surface of the fuel passage at the intermediate section of the bar filter 15.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a fuel injection valve capable of instantaneously stopping fuel, and effectively absorbing a shock load generated at this time. CONSTITUTION:In a needle nozzle 5 and a nozzle body 7 constituting a valve, a flange section 502 is provided on the needle nozzle 5, and a step section (regulation section) 704 is provided on the nozzle body 7. The distance between the flange section 502 and the step section 704 is set longer than the distance between a contact section 501 and the nozzle body 7 when the needle nozzle 5 is lifted and the valve seat 701 of the nozzle needle 7 is separated from the contact section 501. When fuel is stopped, the contact section 501 is brought into contact with the valve seat 701 and the flange section 502 is brought into contact with the step section 704 respectively by the elastic deformation of the needle nozzle 5 and the flange section 502, and a shock is absorbed at two positions.
