    • PURPOSE:To input refueling time automatically and to confirm the running distance from the refueling time readily, by providing a means, which electrically detects the refueling state in a fuel tank. CONSTITUTION:An ignition switch 1 detects the inserting state of a vehicle key. A distance sensor 2 generates pulses corresponding to the running distance. A refueling switch 3 electrically detects the refueling state in a fuel tank of a vehicle and generates a refueling signal. A setting switch 4 performs resetting. A key operating part 5 changes the starting point of the running distance. A microcomputer 6 performs operation processing, stores the running distance in a nonvolatile mode, and displays the running distance on a display 11. When the refueling signal is generated, the signal is made to be one starting point for the running distance. When a display request instruction from the refueling time is generated by the operating part 5, the running distance from said starting point is displayed on the display 11 by digits. A fuel mark 11a is also displayed in the vicinity of the running distance display.

    • PURPOSE:To display the running distance between two points together with related messages, by operating respective running distances of a vehicle with two points as references in correspondence with the number of pulses for a running speed. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 30 is connected to a distance sensor 10 and a keyboard 20. The sensor 10 detects a running speed and generates a pulse signal at every unit running distance. The keyboard has two display request keys, a switch request keys, a clear request key, and ten numerical keys. One display request key is manipulated when the display of the running distance with a refueling point as a reference is required. The other display request key is manipulated when the display of the running distance with an arbitrary point as a reference is required. Thus respective request signals are generated. The switching request key generates a switching request signal when the operating mode of the distance operating counter of the computer 30 is switched.
