    • The present invention relates to a battery compartment capable of selectively accommodating an integrated battery unit and a plurality of cylindrical batteries. This battery compartment comprises a housing adapted to fit the integrated battery unit and a support member which is pivotably placed about a support portion provided to a side interior wall of the housing between a supporting position substantially perpendicular to the side interior wall to laterally support the plurality of cylindrical batteries and a recessed position along the side interior wall to be recessed from an accommodating space for the integrated battery unit. This support member is always urged toward the supporting position and a loading of the integrated battery unit is carried out in such a manner that the support member is displaced to the recessed position against a resilience of the support member toward the supporting position.

    • A camera film easy loading takeup spool includes a body member rotatable about a longitudinal axis past a film delivery position and a plurality of peripherally spaced pairs of longitudinal jaw members, one of each of which is swingable about a longitudinal axis between film entry opening open and closed positions relative to the respective other jaw member and spring biased to its open position and including a depending follower engaging a circular cam which closes the jaws offset from the film delivery position and permits the spring opening of the jaw proximate the film delivery position.     • A camera employing an automatic focusing system has a movable objective lens which is automatically moved from an initial position to a properly focused position in accordance with a distance signal indicative of the distance between the camera and a target object to be photographed from a distance measuring element. The automatic focusing system includes a discriminator which discriminates whether the distance measuring element properly produces the distance signal or fails to produce such distance signal. The objective lens is moved only when the distance signal is properly produced or when a substitute signal is forcibly produced from a manual control unit for the substitution of the distance signal.

    • A system for correcting an IQ mismatch in a receiver mixer is disclosed and may include one or more circuits that generate an IQ correlation with a training signal having periodic, uncorrelated I and Q signals. The one or more circuits may estimate a gain mismatch based on a power estimate of the periodic, uncorrelated I and Q signals over a unit period. The one or more circuits may estimate a phase mismatch based on the IQ correlation over the unit period, and may apply at least one correction parameter to the receiver mixer. The at least one correction parameter may be based on the gain mismatch estimate and the phase mismatch estimate. The one or more circuits may provide the training signal on a closed RF signal path between a transmitter and the receiver mixer, and may estimate the IQ mismatch iteratively.
