An LED is driven to emit light in response to charging of the main capacitor at a predetermined level. The flash-emitting section is arranged to be slidably disposed on said printed circuit board.

摘要： A lens-fitted photographic film unit whose film surface disposed behind an exposure aperture is forwardly concave along the longitudinal direction of the film strip so as to correct distortion by the taking lens. The unit has an exposure aperture size changing device constituted of a manually actuated photography mode changing member for selecting either a standard photography mode for forming a standard size picture frame, or a special photography mode in which a special size picture frame smaller than the standard size picture frame may be formed. A pair of aperture masking plates is movable into margins of the exposure aperture, for masking out parts of the exposure aperture. The masking plates have such shapes that, if images of the aperture masking plates are projected onto a plane perpendicular to an optical axis of the taking lens in the masking position, the images have concave top and bottom margins, so that the special size picture frame has a rectangular shape when the images of the masking plates are projected on that concave film surface instead of on that perpendicular plane.

摘要： A lens-fitted photographic film unit has a picture frame size changing mechanism for changing the size of picture frames between a full size and a panoramic size. The picture frame size changing mechanism includes upper and lower exposure aperture masking plates which are pivotally mounted in a light-shielding box in front of an exposure aperture. The masking plates are interconnected to each other through one-side contact and urged by a tension spring toward a full size position. The upper masking plate is connected to an operation knob through a crank lever and a switching lever. When the knob is operated to select the panoramic size, the switching lever is moved over a necessary amount for moving the masking plates in a panoramic size position to mask the exposure aperture. After the masking plates are stopped in the panoramic size position by stoppers, the over-stroke of the switching lever is absorbed by resilient bending of the crank lever.

The LED is driven to emit light in response to charging of the main capacitor at a predetermined level. In a preferred embodiment, the photo film unit is pre-loaded with photo film (123) having speed of ISO 800 or higher, to allow the main capacitor to have small capacitance adapted to the high speed of the photo film.

The flash device includes a flash-emitting section for emitting flash light toward a photographic field, and a main capacitor for storing charge to be discharged in the flash-emitting section. The flash-emitting section and main capacitor together constitute a flasher/capacitor unit. In one embodiment, a detachable connector, providing both the electrical connection and the mechanical support, connects the flasher/capacitor unit to the flash circuit board. In another embodiment, a securing portion comprising a pair of rails disposed on the flasher/capacitor unit, secures the flasher/capacitor unit to the flash circuit board, where the rails ride along opposite sides of a projecting portion of the flash circuit board.
