      SOLUTION: The polyester urethane resin excellent in gas barrier properties is obtained by adding a diisocyanate to a glycolic acid-containing polyester. The polyester urethane resin contains at least 40-88 mole% ≤5C oxycarboxylic acid unit comprising glycolic acid unit as a main ingredient and ≥90 mole% sum total of the oxycarboxylic acid unit, an aromatic dicarboxylic acid unit and an ethylene glycol unit based on 100 mole% total constituent units of the urethane bond-containing polyester resin. In the polyester urethane resin a ratio of the ester bonds to the urethane bonds is 200:1-4:1.
