    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress temporary engine revolution speed reduction less than tolerance by a simple structure.
      SOLUTION: In an engine 100 constructed to perform injection ignition operation in which air fuel mixture MG is ignited by injecting sub fuel SF from a fuel injection valve 25 and burning the same with self ignition in a combustion chamber 1 having air fuel mixture MG composed of main fuel MF compressed and provided with an engine revolution speed establishing means 41 setting engine revolution speed in a target revolution speed range by adjusting intake air quantity of air fuel mixture into the combustion chamber 1, a judgment means 42 judging a low revolution speed condition under which engine revolution speed is less then a target revolution speed range, and a processing means 43 increasing equivalent ratio of air fuel mixture MG sucked in the combustion chamber 1 and performing revolution speed drop avoidance process reducing injection volume of sub fuel SF from the fuel injection valve 25 when the judgment means 42 judges the low revolution speed condition is provided.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indirect injection type internal combustion engine which freely performs heating and breaking inside a sub-chamber according to operation conditions of an engine, can control the temperature inside the sub-chamber at required high temperature in accordance with the operation conditions of the engine, and always retains favorable ignition from the starting of the engine to all driving ranges even in the case of driving under conditions of cryogenic temperature such as in cold climate areas, or driving using fire-retardant fuel, thus can perform a stable combustion.
      SOLUTION: The indirect injection type internal combustion engine is provided with a high-frequency heating device and a controller. The high-frequency heating device has a high-frequency coil which is wound at a mouthpiece of the sub-chamber, and through which high-frequency current is passed from a high-frequency transmitter, and the interior of the sub-chamber is heated by the high-frequency coil. Then the controller controls energization and breaking to the high-frequency heating device according to the operation conditions of the engine including either engine RPM or the load on the engine, or both. The controller is constituted so that it energizes the high-frequency coil through the high-frequency transmitter when the operation conditions of the engine are at low-range revolutions or in the low-load ranges, that is to say, at or below constant rpm or load. Then the controller breaks the energization when the operation conditions of the engine exceed the constant rpm or load.
