    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sterilization method capable of surely killing bacteria or mold which is a sterilization object and of reducing running cost.SOLUTION: A sterilization method includes a sterilization step for performing a germicidal treatment of at least the inner surface of a container by supplying a peracetic acid-based bactericidal agent containing hydrogen peroxide, and a rinsing step for washing away at least the peracetic acid-based bactericidal agent in the container by supplying aseptic water, and the sterilization step and the rinsing step are performed according to following procedures. Namely, in the sterilization step, a concentration of hydrogen peroxide (HO) in the peracetic acid-based bactericidal agent is maintained at 300 ppm or lower, preferably 200 ppm or lower, and the temperature of the peracetic acid-based bactericidal agent is kept at 50°C or lower. Further, in the rinsing step, aseptic water at 65°C or higher is used.
