SOLUTION: A Ni-Al alloy is thermally sprayed on a worn part of a member 10 constituting an internal combustion engine composed of a metallic material such as cast iron by an arc wire spraying process to form a bond layer 11. Then, a Cr-based stainless steel is thermally sprayed on the bond layer 11 by an arc wire spraying process to form a cladding layer 12 having a thickness of 0.1-3 mm. The cladding layer 12 is formed via the bond layer 11, so that the cladding layer can be strongly stuck to the worn part of the member 10 to positively prevent peeling of the cladding layer. In this case, a male thread part 1d is formed in the lower end part of the tappet 1d, and a female thread part 6b having the same size as that of the tappet 1a is formed in an injector body 6. Threads of the female thread part 6b is ground by such a degree with which thread troughs still remain. That is, the sectional shape of the threads is trapezoidal. Further, the outer diameter of the male thread 1d from which the tappet 1a is formed, is larger than that of the shank part 1e. Thereby it is possible to allow the tappet 1a to freely rotate.

CONSTITUTION:A needle valve 12 is pushed up by pressure, and fuel is injected from nozzles 11 through a vale seat. This fuel injection becomes a pilot injection. By removing voltage, because a voltage actuator element 21 is returned to an original position and a piston 22 is pulled, pressure of a fuel passage 23 is lowered and a check valve 31 is opened by fuel from a fuel feed pump 32, and fuel is fed to the extreme end chamber of the piston 22. Back flow of fuel flowing in from a fuel passage 16 is obstructed by a check valve 24. Next, main injection of fuel is performed by control with a controller 19. Because the pilot injection system is provided independently of the main injection system, injection characteristics respectively suitable for the main injection and the pilot injection can be realized.

This laminate coupling 16 is constituted by sandwiching an intermediate part, a laminate plate 17b thin in a plate thickness with both ends, thick laminate plates 17a. Since the laminate plates 17a on the both ends are thick, stress on the both end surfaces is reduced to prevent fatigue failure. In addition, since the thicknesses of the laminate plates 17a, 17b are different, resonance hardly occurs to improve reliability.
