    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel detection apparatus capable of not only detecting fuel liquid level, i.e. the residual quantity of fuel, but also determining fuel properties, i.e. the material of the fuel.SOLUTION: The fuel detection apparatus includes first to nth detection electrodes (n≥2) aligned in a fuel charging direction and an electrostatic capacity detection part for processing outputs from respective detection electrodes and detecting fuel properties and a fuel liquid level. The electrostatic capacity detection part calculates a dielectric constant of the fuel from the outputs and electrode lengths of respective detection electrodes and detects the fuel properties on the basis of the dielectric constant.

    • PURPOSE:To restrict occurrence of vaporization of fuel in a type where arc-like passage grooves are formed on the inner side surface of suction side and dis charge side facing plates disposed surrounding an impeller rotated by a motor by forming the passage groove on the discharge side deeper than the passage groove on the suction side. CONSTITUTION:An impeller 14 of a pump part 100 is installed at one end of a drive shaft 5 fixed at an armature 4 of a motor part 200, and a suction side and a discharge side facing plate 113, 115 are disposed surrounding the impeller 14 close to each side surface of this impeller 14. Arc-like passage grooves 113a, 115a are formed at a facing positions in the facing plates 113, 115 along th outer circumference of the impeller 14, where the depth of the passage groove 113a in the suction side facing plate 113 is set smaller than the conventional ones, while the passage groove 115a in the discharge side facing plate 115 is set deeper. A suction port 11b and a discharge port 115b are formed at one end of the passage grooves 113a, 115b respectively through the facing plates 113, 115 at position facing each other.
