摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin keratinization promoter useful for improving the barrier function of the skin and preventing the aging of the skin.SOLUTION: It has been found that N16 produced from shells of Akoya pearl oyster, pearl fragments or powder thereof and proteins related to the same increase expression of transglutaminase 1, sorayashin (S100A7) and loricrin gene, and especially the amount of sorayashin (S100A7) gene increases greatly. It has been found that they are very effective as a skin keratinization promoter. Sorayashin (S100A7) has the function of maintaining homeostasis of the skin such as anti-inflammation and microbial stasis, and therefore a skin preparation blended with the same is very effective.
