A collaborative system for presenting a unified view of tasks from heterogeneous task management sources can include a task weaver coupled to one or more heterogeneous task management sources, a unified task database, and, a task weaver user interface coupled to the task weaver and configured to render an arrangement of unified task icons representing underlying tasks in the unified task database. Importantly, the task weaver user interface can include an arrangement of different unified task icons indicating whether a prior task represented by one of the unified task icons is prerequisite to a subsequent task represented by another one of the unified task icons.

    • Under the present invention, a method, system, interface and program product for displaying an object hierarchy in a compact form, and for facilitating navigation through the displayed object hierarchy, is provided. The method includes: displaying a first level root node of the object hierarchy; upon selection of the first level root node, displaying a listing of all second level child nodes of the first level root node immediately adjacent the first level root node; and selecting one of the second level child nodes; wherein, upon selection of one of the second level child nodes, the listing of all second level child nodes of the first level root node disappears, and the selected second level child node is displayed immediately adjacent the first level root node. Nodes from additional levels of the object hierarchy can be selected and displayed in a similar manner.

In one embodiment of the invention, a distribution list management method for a reply message in a message thread can include identifying a set of addressees from among multiple messages in a message thread and adding the set of addresses to a distribution list for a reply message to one of the multiple messages in the message thread. Individual ones of the addressees in the distribution list can be selected to receive the reply message. Subsequently, the reply message can be sent to the selected individual ones of the addressees.

In one embodiment, a human-to-human collaborative data processing system can be provided which can include a messenger configured for coupling to other messengers. The system further can include a queue of incoming session requests to establish respective human-to-human collaborative sessions with requesters associated with the other messengers. Finally, the system can include queue management logic enabled to order the session requests in the queue according to queue rules coupled to the queue management logic.
