摘要： In general, the invention is directed to an IMD having a piezoelectric transformer to convert battery power to operating power. The piezoelectric transformer serves to convert voltage levels produced by a battery in the IMD to voltage levels appropriate for IMD operation. In contrast to electromagnetic transformers and charge pump arrays, a piezoelectric transformer offers small size and low profile, as well as operational efficiency. In addition, in an implantable cardiac or neurostimulation device, the piezoelectric transformer provides electrical isolation that avoids circuit-induced cross currents between different electrodes.

摘要： A medical information communication system is described that facilitates seamless communication between a remote system and one or more medical devices implanted within a body of a patient. A general interface unit (GIU) located near the patient senses and automatically establishes channels for communicating with the remote system as the patient travels from location to location. The GIU may receive physiological data from a medical device implanted within a body of a patient, select one or more of the communication channels based on a variety of criteria, and automatically communicate the physiological data to the remote system via the selected communication channel.

摘要： Apparatus and method facilitates communications between an implanted component and an external component of a medical device system through a relaying module. The medical device system provides treatment to a patient for a nervous system disorder. 摘要： A subcutaneous electrodes is structured to acquire electrocardiographic data and waveform tracings from an implanted pacemaker without the need for or use of surface (skin) electrodes. Thin film electrodes disposed on a top surface of a feedthrough are adapted to connect into an assembly at the peripheral edge of the implantable device. Each of the electrodes comprise an integral element of a subcutaneous electrode array or SEA which detects cardiac depolarizations that are communicable and displayable by a portable device programmer. The thin film electrode is a complete functional component with a hermetically attached weld ring adapted for direct welding into the implanted device casing. The distribution and dispersion of the electrodes around the perimeter of the pacemaker provide a maximum and equidistance setting of electrode pairs for either three or four preferred electrode configurations.
