SOLUTION: Wheel braking by the EPB device with the high energy saving ability is kept by the ECU during engine automatic stop. Prior to engine restart, the SCS device with good operation responsiveness is operated as a brake device and braking release operation of the EPB device with worse operation responsiveness is started in order to avoid insufficient braking force upon engine restart after engine automatic stop.
