    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defogger control device for a vehicle capable of improving fuel consumption performance of the vehicle by reducing power consumption of a defogger, by varying and controlling electrification time duration to a heating wire in response to outside temperature, difference between inside and outside temperatures, vehicle speed, or a relation between the outside temperature and a freezing temperature.
SOLUTION: The defogger control device 10 for the vehicle controls the defogger comprising the heating wire 4 disposed in rear window glass 2 of the vehicle and a rear heating wire switch 8 for turning on or off the electrification of the heating wire. The defogger control device 10 comprises a timer circuit 14 for passing electricity to heating wire only for a predetermined timer time duration by turn on of the rear heating wire switch, an outside temperature sensor 22 for detecting air temperature outside the vehicle, and a main control circuit 12 for varying and controlling the timer time duration so that the timer time duration gradually decreases with increasing the outside temperature detected by the outside temperature sensor. Thus, as the outside temperature that largely varies every year and directly affects moisture condensation of window glass becomes high to hardly produce the moisture condensation, the electrification time duration to the heating wire can be gradually decreased. Namely, the electrification time duration to the heating wire is minimized, the power consumption of the defogger is reduced, and fuel consumption performance of the vehicle can be improved.
