    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance exhaust gas purification function by making effective use of alumina as a carrier of Pd while improving a heat resistance of an oxygen storage material by the alumina with regard to an exhaust gas purification catalyst that contains an oxygen storage material containing Ce and Zr, alumina and a catalytic metal Pd. SOLUTION: In an exhaust gas purification catalyst that contains an oxygen storage material containing Ce and Zr, alumina and a catalytic metal, primary particles of the oxygen storage material and primary particles of the alumina agglomerate to form composite oxide particles. As the catalyst metal, it is provided with Pd exposed at the surface of the oxygen storage material particles that is doped with the particles so that it constitutes the oxygen storage material together with Ce and Zr and Pd that is adhered to the surface of the oxygen storage material particles and the alumina particles respectively.
