The optical plug socket, with the adaptor 1 stored inside, is exposed/installed on the surface of the building structure, is equipped with a container body 2, on the upper side of which a knockout 37 is formed and on the lower side of which a cable inserting port 32a is formed making the optical fiber cable insertable from the communication equipment, and is also equipped with a seat 6 which is interposed between the container body 2 and the building structure. In the case where the optical fiber cable is introduced from the lower side, a knockout 65 on the lower face of the seat 6 is removed, inserting the optical fiber cable from the hole formed therein, introducing it to the front side through a line hole 38 provided in the main part 31 of the body 3, and connecting it to the adaptor 1.
