Storage management information of the management computer stores a correspondence between an identifier of a volume group, and a identifier of the user. When a plurality of volumes are designated as a managed object of the user, the management computer references the storage management information, and obtains, from the storage, an identifier of the volume group to which the plurality of designated volumes belong. 摘要： An apparatus, system, and method enable a new platform storage system to have access to an external storage system having data encrypted thereon by an existing platform storage system. Encryption information corresponding to the encrypted data in the external storage system is stored in a memory in the existing platform storage system. In response to changes in contents of operation to alter a storage configuration such as in creating or deleting a volume or LUN, contents of the alteration are reflected in the database of iSNS or SLP. Also, in response to a change in setting of LUN masking, a discovery domain of iSNS or attribute values of SLP are updated so that the host computer can discover the disk volume.
