    • A multichannel optical spectrum slicer is able to convert a broad-band continuous spectral light into discontinuous multiple wavelength lights. This spectrum silcer comprise a birefringent device (F1) and linear polarizers (P0, P1). A birefringent device (F1) such as a birefringent single-mode optical fiber or uniaxial single crystal has two polarization axes (x, y) each orthogonal to an optical axis (z). Linear polarizers (P0, P1) are disposed at the input and the output ends of the birefringent device (F1) with the direction of polarization (A) being inclined by about 45° relative to each of the polarization axes (x, y). Further, when birefringence devices (F1, F2) are disposed in plurality between each polarizer (P0-P2), the spectrum separation is enhanced more.

    • The present invention is the following invention which provides a cement admixture which satisfies fluidity of fresh concrete and high strength of the hardened product of concrete simultaneously. Namely, the present invention resides in a cement admixture which is a mixture of fluorine-containing compounds represented by the formula (1): Rf13 Q1—O—(A1—O)k—R1   (1) wherein Rf is a C1-22 polyfluoroaliphatic hydrocarbon group which may contain ethereal oxygen atoms or thioethereal sulfur atoms, Q1 is a C1-5 linear or branched alkylene group, k is an integer of from 1 to 100, A1 is a C2-4 linear alkylene group or a group having at least one hydrogen atom of said alkylene group substituted by a hydrocarbon group which may contain ethereal oxygen atoms, provided that when k is from 2 to 100, the plurality of A1 may be the same or different, and R1 is a hydrogen atom, a C1-18 hydrocarbon group or a C1-18 acyl group, said mixture having a ratio of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) to the number average molecular weight (Mn) (i.e. Mw/Mn) of at least 1.1, and concrete which contains said cement admixture.

    • A process for producing an epoxidized diene polymer includes: dispersing or suspending a diene polymer (C) having a ball-reduced particle size of 0.05-20 mm in a medium (A) in the presence of powder particles (B) insoluble in the medium (A), or in an aqueous medium in the presence of a phenol-based stabilizer and/or a phosphorus-based stabilizer; and epoxidizing the diene polymer (C) by an epoxidizing agent, therefore, problems associated with epoxidation performed by dissolving diene polymer in a solvent are eliminated; an economical method for epoxidizing, producing, and purifying a diene polymer (C) in a solid form is provided; and the epoxidized diene polymer having an excellent heat stability can be obtained.

    • The present invention is directed to an epoxidized block copolymer composition comprising an epoxidized block copolymer (E) obtained by epoxidizing a block copolymer (C) comprising a polymer block (A) composed mainly of a vinyl aromatic hydrocarbon compound and a polymer block (B) composed mainly of a conjugated diene compound or a product (D) of hydrogenation of the block copolymer (C).
