摘要： An electrically conductive metal element comprises an electrically conductive metal substrate having a layer of Ni—Sn alloy overlying an electrically conductive surface of the substrate and at least one layer of Ag or of Ag containing Sn overlying the Ni—Sn alloy layer. The Ni—Sn alloy(s) has a Sn-content not greater than for Ni3Sn2 for high temperature uses. In a convenient method of forming the element the Sn is applied to one or more layers of Ni in a Ag+Sn mixture and diffused into the Ni layer(s) to form the Ni—Sn alloy layer and at least one layer of Ag or of Ag containing Sn. The element may have a surface layer of SnO2 which can be formed by oxidizing residual Sn which migrates to the outer surface of the at least one layer of Ag containing Sn.

摘要： When plural-layer ceramic coatings are formed on a surface of an grain-oriented silicon steel sheet after finish annealing according to the invention, TiNO coating is formed as a first coating layer by a hollow cathode process under an application of a high bias voltage to the steel sheet, whereby ceramic tension coatings having excellent coating adhesion property and hence tension applying effect can be formed. As a result, ultra-low iron loss grain-oriented silicon steel sheets having an excellent iron loss property even after stress relief annealing at high temperatures for a long time can be stably obtained.

摘要： This invention relates to the nature of thick film compositions that are specifically designed for the fabrication of circuit elements on diamond substrates, especially resistive elements. The nature of diamond sheet material requires special consideration because of its relatively low coefficient of thermal expansion and its sensitivity to oxygen at elevated processing temperatures. The general compositional requirements of thick film paste formulations are provided as a basis for accommodating the particular physical properties of diamond, and thereby establishing a method by which high performance microelectronic components can be fabricated economically. Thick film pastes containing certain borosilicate glasses, metal components, and optionally semiconducting materials are demonstrated to possess favorable behavior in terms of mechanical and electrical properties after sintering. Resistive elements on diamond can be fabricated by adding conductive components to a borosilicate glass.

摘要： A composite shaft/disc workpiece which is assembled from a disc with a passage hole and from a shaft by friction welding is disclosed. The outer wall of the shaft has a plurality of steps in the connection region with the disc, the radius of the steps becoming larger in a direction of the axis. The passage hole of the disc is provided with webs, the radius of which likewise becomes larger in a direction of the axis and between which annular recesses are present. The webs and steps to be connected overlap in the radial direction, so that, during the welding of the shaft and disc, annular connecting portions are obtained in the region of the webs and steps, annular cavities being formed between the connecting portions. The cavities represent a weight saving, as compared with composite shaft/disc workpices made of solid material, and can also be used as parts of media ducts.

摘要： The present invention is for a transparent conductive film of nitrogen-containing indium tin oxide 5 nm to 100 &mgr;m thick formed on a substrate. The process for producing the transparent film includes exciting the surface of the substrate in a vacuum and depositing vaporized indium tin oxide on the surface of the substrate. The surface may be excited with irradiation with an ion beam. The indium tin oxide may be deposited through vacuum deposition, laser abrasion, ion plating, ion beam deposition, or chemical vapor deposition. Vapor deposition of indium tin oxide may be performed using a sintered product of indium oxide and tin oxide or with indium metal and tin metal.
