    • A speed reducing device employs dampers which are provided for power transmission from a worm wheel engaged with a worm gear to an output shaft of the device so as to absorb shocks. The device does not require a metallic plate to which the dampers are adhered nor a bearing which specifically supports the output shaft. A first wheel is engaged with the worm gear and has protrusions on its plate surface facing a second wheel. The second wheel is rigidly connected to the output shaft and has protrusions on its plate surface facing the first wheel. The protrusions of the first and second wheels take complementary positions, in which each protrusion of one wheel is apart from the adjacent protrusion of the other wheel a predetermined distance with respect to the rotational direction. The dampers are provided between neighboring protrusions of the first and second wheels so that the dampers are pressed and contracted to elastically transmit power from the first wheel to the second wheel.

    • Improving layout characteristics of a detecting switch with respect to a control board to miniaturize an electric actuator. Switch-side connecting terminals are provided in a limit switch constituting a panel-position detecting mechanism, which is fixed to an outer face of a motor cover. Meanwhile, board-side connecting terminals having connecting portions to be terminal-connected to the switch-side connecting terminals are fixed to the control board, and the control board is disposed inside the motor cover and is fixed in a board case. By moving the limit switch toward the connecting portions, the switch-side connecting terminals and the connecting portions are connected, whereby the limit switch and the control board are connected.

    • An electric motor, used for moving a seat of a vehicular seat apparatus, is mounted to mounting brackets so as not to produce vibration or unusual sounds. A cylindrical stepped portion projects from a bottom surface of a yoke of the electric motor. A fitting recess, formed in a frame member, is press-fitted over the yoke stepped portion such that the second frame member is checked from rotating relative to a motor armature shaft, but is allowed to move axially. The electric motor, including the second frame member, is disposed between a pair of first and second mounting brackets arranged in an opposed relationship in the axial direction of the electric motor. The electric motor is fixed by tightening screws into threaded holes formed in the frame member from an outer surface of the adjacent mounting bracket so that no gap is left between the frame member and the adjacent mounting bracket.

    • A structure for a terminal section of a motor having a plurality of terminals juxtaposed with each other and extending in the axial direction of the motor shaft. The plurality of terminals are inserted into an end case covering the yoke opening, and have lead connecting portions at the distal ends thereof, which are exposed to the outside of the end case and to which a plurality of leads are individually connected. The lead connecting portions are exposed in a stepped manner, that is, they are subsequently shifted from each other both in the direction around and in the direction along the motor shaft. The leads are connected to the exposed lead connecting portions from directions substantially perpendicular to the motor shaft. The structure is capable of ensuring a sufficient insulating distance and reducing the motor size without lowering operational efficiency during production and without increasing the number of sealing locations.
