    • A system for evaluating an environmental impact during a life cycle of an activity includes a controlling unit, which controls the system with a plurality of data storage elements connected to the controlling unit. The plurality of data storage elements includes a first data storage element, a second data storage element, a third data storage element, and a fourth data storage element. The first data storage element stores a first data type for each item to be used for the activity as life cycle inventory data. The second data storage element stores a second data type for each item, which includes grade information and recycle ratio information. The third data storage element stores a third data type for each item as modified life cycle inventory data. The third data type is obtained by modifying the first data type with the second data type. The fourth data storage element stores impact-coefficient data for each item.

    • An optical system of a projection display apparatus includes a projection lens assembly having a first lens group having a negative power, a second lens group having a negative power and a third lens group having a positive power, all arranged in this order from a side of a screen. An air space is provided between the first and second lens groups and also between the second and third lens groups. Each air space is longer than the entire length of the second lens group as taken along the optical axis of the assembly. The projection display apparatus has a light source for radiating rays of light including three primary color components, a color separating optical system for separating the radiation into three primary color components, first to third light valves each operable to receive the respective primary color components from the color separating optical system and to form an optical image having an optical characteristic varying as a function of a video signal, and a color combining optical system for combining images of light emerging, respectively, from the light valves to provide a composite image. The projection lens assembly receives the image from the combining unit so as to project the optical images, formed on the respective light valves, onto a screen.

    • The present invention provides a color cathode ray including a pair of long frames, a pair of opposing short frames that are fixed to the pair of long frames and support the long frames, and a shadow mask fixed to the pair of long frames in a state applied with a tensile force. The short frames have substantially-triangular bent parts formed to protrude toward the shadow mask. Since such a cathode ray tube can decrease an internal moment of the shadow mask structure, the displacement of the shadow mask in a direction to recede from the phosphor screen surface of the color cathode ray tube can be suppressed and the q-value deviation also can be suppressed even if the shadow mask is expanded by heat generated by an impact of electron beams.
