摘要： Disclosed is a method of recording information on a magnetooptical recording medium, which medium includes a first magnetic layer and a second magnetic layer having a lower Curie temperature and a higher coercive force at room temperature than those of the first magnetic layer. The second magnetic layer is exchange-coupled to the first magnetic layer. The first magnetic layer has a higher compensation temperature than the Curie temperature of the second magnetic layer. The method of recording information includes applying a magnetic field, which is modified in accordance with information from a magnetic head, to the medium to record information on the first magnetic layer and scanning the medium with a light beam to heat the medium to a temperature at least near the Curie temperature of the second magnetic layer so as to transfer the information recorded on the first magnetic layer to the second magnetic layer.

摘要： An information recording and/or reproducing apparatus for recording data onto and/or reproducing data from a recording medium by irradiating a light beam emitted from a light source onto a desired track of the recording medium through an optical system. The apparatus includes (i) a single processor for executing an input/output control of the data for the apparatus and a servo process of the light beam such that the input/output control of the data and the servo process of the light beam are alternately switched at a predetermined period, and (ii) an actuator for moving the light beam on the basis of the servo process of the processor. The precision of the servo process is changed so that the precision is increased when an amount of an external disturbance is large.

When the tray is open, the switch component is positioned such that the ejection switch is prevented from being pressed by the pressing portion even if the movable bezel is pushed inward toward the stationary bezel.
