摘要： An optical information recording medium reproducing apparatus 1 includes: a signal detecting/extracting section 15 extracting, from reproduction signal data, extracted reproduction signal data corresponding to a predetermined data pattern; a calculating circuit 10 calculating, from the extracted reproduction signal data, a reproducing power control value for controlling laser light reproducing power; and a reproducing power control section 16 controlling the reproducing power based on the reproducing power control value. The predetermined data pattern is obtained from a space which is sandwiched between marks of λ/2NA or longer and is shorter than λ/4NA and/or a mark which is sandwiched between spaces of λ/2NA or longer and is shorter than λ/4NA. Therefore, even when environmental temperature changes in reproduction, the optical information recording medium reproducing apparatus capable of reproducing a super resolution medium including marks each shorter than λ/4NA optimally controls laser light reproducing power and prevents degradation of reproduction signal quality.

摘要： A data recording/reproducing apparatus uses a single recording medium in which absolute address data are previously formed. Also, the data recording/reproducing apparatus has a first memory for recording and a second memory for reproducing. Audio data reproduced from the recording medium is stored in the second memory at a first transfer rate, and the audio data stored in the second memory is sequentially read at a second transfer rate lower than the first transfer rate to be audio-reproduced, while audio data inputted from external is sequentially stored in the first memory at the second rate and the audio data stored in the first memory is read at the first transfer rate to be recorded on the recording medium. The aforementioned reproducing and recording operations are alternately repeated. Thus, the data recording/reproducing apparatus allows audio data recording operation to be concurrently performed during audio reproduction with the single recording medium.

A slurry including single crystal grains that are acted upon by a force when placed in a magnetic field is immobilized in a gradient magnetic field with a spatially varying magnetic flux density and then sintered. For example, where a slurry including single crystal grains of YAG doped with Er and single crystal grains of YAG undoped with a rare earth material is immobilized in the gradient magnetic field, the region with a strong magnetic field becomes a laser oscillation region that is rich in Er-doped YAG, whereas the region with a weak magnetic field becomes a translucent region rich in YAG undoped with a rare earth material. A polycrystalline material having a core with laser oscillations and a guide surrounding the core are obtained at once.
