    • When an operating unit (10) of a vehicle-mounted electronic equipment is attached to its equipment body (20), a first engaging portion (18) and a second engaging portion (24) of engaging means are engaged and the operating unit is turned around the engaging means in a direction in which the operating unit contacts the equipment body substantially completely. In this case, a releasing member (11) moves a locking member (4) to a releasing position. Under such situation, a locking portion (7) of the operating unit and a locking portion (6) of the equipment body are aligned in position. The locking member (4) is then turned to a locking position where the locking means is locked to thereby complete the attachment of the operating unit to the equipment body. When the operating unit is to be removed from the equipment body, the releasing member (11) is operated to release the restriction of the locking member (4) by a restricting member (3), and the locking member is turned in a releasing direction to thereby release the locking means and hence remove the operating unit from the equipment body.

    • An anti-theft apparatus for use in a vehicle-mounted electronic component includes a removable control panel. Protrusions on a first side of the control panel engage holes in a first side of an equipment body of the electronic component and function as hinges as the control panel is rotated to a mounted position. A first electrical connector on the equipment body engages a second electrical connector on a rear surface of the control panel and a biasing member exerts a force against the rear surface of the control panel. The control panel includes a recess in a second side into which a locking protrusion of a locking mechanism in the equipment body extends. A button actuates the locking mechanism retracting the locking protrusion and allowing the biasing member to eject the control panel from the equipment body. The locking protrusion is retracted by a sliding cam or directly by depression of the button. Another embodiment includes a concavity in the control panel which engages a deflectable protrusion on the equipment body after the release button is depressed so as to retain the control panel in an ejected position for removal by the user. Elastic members engage the protrusions of the control panel providing a click feel during removal and retain the control panel in the ejected position. Another embodiment includes an elastic protrusion in the equipment body which engages a corresponding concavity in the front panel to retain the front panel in an ejection position.

    • A fuel vapor processor has a fuel tank, a canister, a recovery pipe, a fuel pump, a negative pressure generator, a pressure regulator, a fuel intake pipe and a fuel intake regulator. The vapor pipe leads the fuel vapor generated in the fuel tank into the canister for trapping the fuel vapor. The recovery pipe connects the fuel tank and the canister for recovering the fuel vapor trapped in the canister into the fuel tank. The fuel intake pipe directly connects the fuel pump provided in the fuel tank with the negative pressure generator for leading fuel to the negative pressure generator. The negative pressure generator generates negative pressure depending on an amount of fuel supplied to the negative pressure generator from the fuel pump. The fuel vapor trapped in the canister is recovered to the fuel tank through the recovery pipe due to the negative pressure. The pressure regulator is connected with the fuel pump for returning excess fuel discharged from the fuel pump into the fuel tank. The fuel intake regulator disposed on the fuel intake pipe controls the amount of the fuel supplied to the negative pressure generator from the fuel pump.
