The fouling and corrosion detector is coupled to the pipe and is adapted to detect a characteristic signature of the restrictive element and to generate an alarm if a change in the detected signature exceeds a predetermined limit relative to a baseline signature.

摘要： The carrying sling of the present invention comprises a length of flexible webbing in the form of a strap being twice folded back on itself to form first, second and third reaches between the first and second ends of the strap. The ends of the strap include apparatus that is adapted to interconnect with or wrap around an object to be carried. Each of the two folds is formed where the strap is trained through first and second slides that are either releasably or permanently connected to the terminal ends of the strap. Providing at least one of the reaches of the strap with means for adjusting its length adds further utility to the carrying strap.

摘要： The present invention relates to methods and apparatus for removing a contaminant from an object. According to one aspect, an apparatus for washing an object which has contaminant is arranged to recover the contaminant. The apparatus includes a support floor that supports an object to be washed and a basin mounted below the support floor. The basin is divided into a plurality of chambers which include a clean water chamber, a secondary water chamber, an oil containment chamber, and a contaminated water receiving chamber which receives water which is contaminated after it is flowed over the object to remove the contaminant. The contaminated water received in the contaminated water receiving chamber must pass sequentially through the oil containment chamber and the secondary water chamber prior to entering the clean water chamber. The clean water chamber is flowably coupled to the secondary water chamber by a first flowpath near the operational water level, while the secondary water chamber is flowably coupled to the oil containment chamber by a second flowpath near the bottom of the basin. The oil containment chamber is flowably coupled to the contaminated water receiving chamber by a third flowpath near the operational water level. The apparatus also includes a first pump which draws and filters water from the secondary water chamber and returns the filtered water to the clean water chamber.

摘要： A closed-loop wash system is provided for use with a washing assembly that includes a collection basin and a self-contained, bioremediation treatment apparatus. A housing assembly defines a plurality of chambers in series flow communication from an upstream collection chamber to a downstream clean wash fluid chamber. A central media chamber is included in upstream flow communication with the upstream collection chamber and in downstream flow communication with the downstream clean wash fluid chamber. An array of media housing microbes is disposed in the media chamber. The treatment apparatus includes a diffusion assembly configured to aerate the washing fluid contained in selected chambers. A first circulation system continuously circulates flow through the bioremediation system, while an independent second circulation system continuously circulates flow from the collection basin to the bioremediation treatment apparatus, and then back into the collection basin. The first circulation system, the second circulation system and the diffusion assembly cooperate to substantially evenly distribute the microbe population and the oxygenated clean wash fluid throughout the wash system.
