    • The present invention relates to a display system for a theft-preventing apparatus mounted on a vehicle, and an object of the present invention is to provide a display system in which a display device can be commonly used for two kinds of theft-preventing apparatuses. A security ECU (20) outputs a continuous lighting signal when set to a waiting state, and stops outputting the signal in a cautioning state. An immobilizer ECU (22) outputs a blinking signal to a light-emitting device (50) only when the cautioning state is set. Accordingly, the light-emitting device (50) is turned off when both the security apparatus and the immobilizer apparatus are set to a resting state. Additionally, the light-emitting device (50) is continuously lighted when the security apparatus is in the waiting state. Further, the light-emitting device (50) is being blinked when the security apparatus is not set to the waiting state and the immobilizer apparatus is set to the cautioning state.

    • An alarm operation is activated by closing all vehicle doors (S11). When all doors are locked (S12), an active alarm awaiting state is set (S13) and, when all doors are not locked (S12), a passive alarm awaiting state is set (S16).     • A discharge counter relating to an operation of a lightening arrester to protect a power system and electric apparatus from overvoltage. This discharge counter includes a lightening arrester terminal, a grounding terminal, a nonlinear resistor connected between the lightening arrester terminal and the grounding terminal, a capacitor connected to the nonlinear resistance in parallel between the lightening arrester terminal and the grounding terminal, and a counter for counting the number of times a discharge current flows from the capacitor. Further, the counter is connected in parallel to the nonlinear resistance and capacitor. The nonlinear resistor includes a nonlinear material. That is, the nonlinear material is equal to a nonlinear resistance which includes zinc oxide as a main component and bismuth oxide and titanium oxide as a sub component, which have an excellent characteristic for the discharge counter.
