    • A novel electrophotographic photoreceptor and a method of preparation therof are disclosed. The photoreceptor is characterized in that the photosensitive layer contain a specific carbonate resin binder resin having a weight average molecular weight on not less than 200,000. The resin is preferably a polycarbonate resin which contains repeating units represented by the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, R.sup.4, R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 are respectively and independently a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, a halogen atom or an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic group; and R.sup.9 and R.sup.10 are respectively and independently a hydrogen atom, a lower alkyl group, an unsubstituted or substituted aromatic group, or form a ring or a carbonyl group together with the linking carbon atom. The method is characterized in that the photosensitive layer contains a polyocarbonate having a weight average molecular weight of not less than 200,000 as a binder resin and is formed by spray coating or spiral coating.

    • Disclosed is a self-propelled pipe inspection apparatus suitable for use in inspecting a plurality of parallel and vertical pipes one by one, for the presence of faults such as cracking, corrosion and so on, by non-destructive testing method. The apparatus has fault detecting means which may be of conventional type, pipe cramping means adapted to cramp the pipe and a mobile carrier by which the fault detecting means and the pipe cramping means are carried. The mobile carriage has a power-driven running surface which may be a running surface of an endless belt and adapted to be pressed onto the pipe surface when the pipe is cramped by the cramping means. The cramping means comprise at least a pair of arms each of which having a bent end carrying a roller. Each arm is supported for free rotation around its longitudinal axis, so that the roller may be swung outwardly to clear the pipe, when the latter is brought into the space between the pair or arms. In the cramping state, as the running surface of the mobile carriage is driven, the apparatus as a whole moves up and down along the pipe, keeping a resilient contact with the latter. The fault detecting means are secured to the mobile carriage through a turn table for inspecting all circumferential parts of the pipe.

    • The present invention provides a traveling speed reduction gear lubricating oil cooling device that enables optimal temperature control for lubricating oil delivered via a lubricating oil pump that can be started up with a relatively small motor without running the risk of damage to an oil cooler in a cold work environment even when a temperature sensor that detects the temperature of the lubricating oil is installed outside a wheel mounting sleeve. During a startup operation, provided that the detected temperature at a traveling motor is higher than the reference temperature, the lubricating oil pump is driven at a speed in a lower speed range relative to the normal operation speed range. In addition, during the startup operation, the rotation speed of the drive motor for the lubricating oil pump is increased in correspondence to a rise in the temperature detected by a lubricating oil temperature detection sensor.
