    • PURPOSE:To improve the slide preventive property of a rug by a method wherein a rug backing layer is formed in such a way that cut pile threads are stitched in a primary supporting fabric from one side to the other under specified conditions, and a resin compound containing a specified cement is coated and dried on the opposite side to the cut pile threads to bond the cut pile threads and form a rug backing layer. CONSTITUTION:A rug backing layer (A) is made in such a way that cut pile threads (b) are stitched in a primary supporting fabric (a) from one side to the other under the conditions mentioned below, and then a resin compound (c) containing cement is coated and dried on the opposite side to the cut pile threads (b). The conditions are such that the stitch density of the cut pile threads is 16-400 stitches/square inch, the stitch pitch of the pile threads is 4-20 stitches/inch in the stitching direction and 4-20 stitches/inch in the gauge direction, the height of piles is 2-20mm, and the thickness of the pile thread is 800-900 deniers. In addition, the resin compound (c) containing cement is composed of a resin emulsion c having a glass transition point Tg of 5 deg.C or lower and a hydraulic cement c and is coated and dried.

    • PURPOSE:To provide the light carpet having excellent flexible and shrinkage resistance by laminating a front base material for the carpet coated with a water emulsion coating material of a resin on the layer of a packing material compsn. contg. inorg. cement power in the water emulsion of a resin and curing and drying this laminate by heating the laminate. CONSTITUTION:The layer of the packing material compsn. is obtd. by incorporating 160 to 360 pts.wt. hydraulic inorg. cement powder and 160 to 460 pts.wt. non-hydraulic inorg. powder per 100 pts.wt. resin solid content into the water emulsion of the resin having 5 to 50 deg.C glass transition temperature. The front base material for the carpet coated with the water emulsion coating material of the resin having -10 to 30 deg.C glass transition temperature is then superposed thereon via the surface coated with the coating material prior to curing and drying of the packing material compsn. This laminate is cured and dried by heating at 85 to 135 deg.C. Calcium carbonate, silica sand, etc., are used for the non-hydraulic inorg. powder. The cured layer of the packing material compsn. is formed of the foam by steam and is, therefore, light in density and is excellent in cushion property.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method of a carpet which is excellent in elasticity, flexibility, shrinkage resistance and dimensional stability. CONSTITUTION:A coating agent application surface of a carpet base material formed by applying a resin acqueous emulsion coating agent to a backing material composite layer composed of hydraulic inorganic cement powder and non- hydraulic inorganic powder is superposed on resin aqueous emulsion, brought into press-contacting with each other before the backing material composition is hardened and the coating agent is dried, and then heated at a temperature of 85-170 deg.C to be hardened and dried. A resin aqueous emulsion having a glass transition point of -50 to +50 deg.C is as a backing material composition, and 120-400 pts.wt. cement powder and 160-600 resin aqueous emulsion having a glass transition point of -10 pts.wt. inorganic powder are mixed with 100 pts.wt. resin. A resin aqueous emulsion having a glass transition point of -10 to +30 deg.C is used as a resin aqueous emulsion coating agent, and only the resin aqueous emulsion may be used, but preferably inorganic filling material is mixed therewith.
