    • PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement of the thickness accuracy of the sheet in the direction of the breadth to a value better than that to be obtained by the conventional method, by arranging the work rolls to bite the rolled material so as to possess a specified diameter ratio, and by specially arranging two pairs of intermediate roll including the driving roll between the small diameter work roll and the backup roll, at performing the rolling work. CONSTITUTION:At performing the rolling work by biting the rolled material S with the large diameter work roll A and the small diameter work roll (a) in diameter a half or less than that of the work roll A, and hereby, giving the rolled material S the tension and the bending force, a pair of two first intermediate rolls b1, b2, and a pair of three second intermediate rolls c1-c3 are arranged between the small diameter work roll (a) and the backup roll group d1-d4; hereupon, one of these rolls is driven to rotate, and the first intermediate rolls b1, b2, are shifted in the direction parallel to the roll shaft, and also, the second intermediate rolls c1-c3 are shifted opposite to the shifting direction of the rolls b1, b2; under this condition, the rolling work is performed. According to this method, the accuracy of sheet thickness in the direction of the breadth can be improved even in case of the very thin high tensile steel strip, depending on said respective synergistic effect.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate a difference between the front and back sides of a strip, and to prevent generation of an L-shaped camber, etc., by reciprocally passing a strip between a central large diameter, driving work roll and small diameter cluster rolls arranged above and below the central roll, and by applying a strecth-and- bending rolling work to the strip. CONSTITUTION:A constant tension is applied to a strip S between a large diameter, driving work roll 13 and the lower multistage cluster rolls A, and a large bending is given to the strip S on the side of a small diameter work roll 7; under this condition, a stretch-and-bending rolling work is applied to the strip S. When a coil held in a coiler 1 finishes a rolling work, the rotation of all of the coiler 1, an uncoiler 25, and each roller, are reversed, and an upper mutistage cluster roll B is moved down; then, the strip S is passed between a small diameter work roll 14 and the central work roll 13 in order to bend the strip S toward the roll 13 side; under this condition, a stretch-and-bending rolling work is applied to the strip S. According to the present method, a single rolling stand can eliminate the difference between the front and back sides, and the generation of an L-shaped camber, etc., can be prevented.
