    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter automatic cleaning mechanism and an air conditioner equipped with the same, in which a balance state of a dust removal mechanism is automatically adjusted and stress is not applied to the driving mechanism; and accordingly, failure due to overload, erroneous operation, deterioration of lifetime, and the like are prevented.SOLUTION: The air filter automatic cleaning mechanism includes a pair of the driving mechanisms arranged in parallel on both sides of the air filter; the dust removal mechanism disposed in a direction orthogonal to the driving mechanism and is moved in an extension direction of the driving mechanism to remove dust collected by the air filter; a pair of position detecting members 39 which are arranged on both sides thereof along a moving direction of the dust removal mechanism and provided with a plurality of protrusions 41, 42 on the surface thereof; and a pair of position detection means 43 which are arranged in face-to-face relation to the pair of the position detecting members 39 on both sides of the dust removal mechanism, detect the protrusions 41, 42 to detect the position of the dust removal mechanism, and control the driving mechanism to perform positional adjustment of both ends and reciprocating control of the dust removal mechanism.

    • PURPOSE:To raise the efficiency of a centrifugal fan and reduce noises caused by the turbulence in the air flow by forming as one body in the drain pan a blow-out air guide that extends to the blow-out port of the centrifugal fan from the side of the inner circumference of a drain pan, the drain pan being provided below a heat exchanger provided round the centrifugal fan. CONSTITUTION:An air conditioner has a centrifugal fan 6 at the central section in the main body 2 of the case that is buried in the ceiling and a bell mouth 12 that guides the air to the centrifugal fan 6. Below a heat exchanger 7 that is provided around the centrifugal fan 6 a drain pan 10 is provided. In this constitution, the drain pan 10 has a blowout air guide 20 formed as one body with the drain pan 10 by resin injection forming. The blow-out air guide 20 extends to the vicinity of a blow-out port 6a of the centrifugal fan 6 from the side of the inner circumference of the drain pan 10. And the air flow that is blown out from a blow-out port 6a is guided by the blow-out air guide 20 and made to flow into the heat exchanger 7 smoothly. With this arrangement turbulence in the air flow and pressure loss are reduced, and thereby the efficiency is raised and noises are reduced.
