    • PURPOSE:To avoid contact of a balance disc by forming the rotary side of balance disc either protruded or recessed, and by forming the stationary side in a protrusion or recess which can be loosely fitted with the mating protrusion or recess. CONSTITUTION:A stationary side disc 2a is formed recessed, and a protruded rotary side disc 1a is loosely fitted in this recess and mounted with possibility of advancing and refracting. When pump is in normal operation, a thrust T is applied due to the pressure P2, but the pressure difference between P1 and P0 because of effect of gaps alpha and beta generates repulsive force A to move a shaft 3, which comes in equilibrium in the position A=T. When a large eT is applied momentarily, for ex. at the time of pump starting, the fluid in the recess B is exhausted by the pressure P4 little by little from gap lambda to perform damping action, and then equilibrium with pressure P1 is restored. This should avoid contact of balance disc, to lead to prevention of seizure of the disc or abnormal wear.

    • PURPOSE:To remove deposited slurry without interrupting the operation of a slurry classifier to be used for coal-water slurry, etc., by providing a screen inverting means for inverting the upper stream side of a screen to the lower stream side and slurry supplying means to be used at the time of the inversion to said classifier. CONSTITUTION:The screen 1 is inverted around a screen inverting shaft 11 when the slurry 4C deposits in the lower part on the top surface of the screen. Then, the screen 1 is so changed that the down stream side where the slurry 4C is deposited becomes conversely the upper stream side as shown by a chain line 1'. The previous slurry 4 supplied to a slurry supplying box 2 is simultaneously supplied as the slurry 4' to a slurry supplying box 12 by operating selector valves 16, 17. The slurry 4' flows by washing away the deposited slurry 4C and is classified by the screen 1'. The screen 1' is inverted again by the shaft 11 to restore the original posture when the slurry 4' deposits on the inverted screen 1'. The classification is thus continued.

    • PURPOSE:To enable the accumulated slurry on the lower part of a screen to be swept off without the stoppage of operation of a classifier by providing supplying means of wash slurry the lower part of the top face of the screen. CONSTITUTION:A slurry 4 such as coal-water slurry is flowed down from the upper part of the screen 1 arranged in a smoothly curved shape, and is classified in fine grain slurries 4a, 4a' and a coarse grain slurry 4b. And the supplying means 11 of the wash slurry 4d is provided above the lower part of the screen 1. As a result, the accumulated slurry on the lower part of the screen is easily swept off by flowing the wash slurry, and the need of removing the accumulated slurry 4c by washing water or man power is eliminated. Moreover, as the wash slurry is supplied without the stoppage of operation of he classifier, the classifier is continuously operated.

    • PURPOSE:To diffuse and mix gas throughout duct with less draft loss by intersecting the directions of plural pipe lines arranged vertically to the direction of gas flow in duct in more than two-staged staggering manner. CONSTITUTION:The pipe lines in the duct 11 are provided in a two-staged staggering arrangement consisting of the upflow pipe 12 and the downflow pipe 13, both of which are connected with the reinforcement 14 to keep their strengths. The NH3 injected at the upflow side of the mixer is diffused in the direction of right angle to the upflow pipe axle by the upflow pipe lines and also in the direction of right angle to the downflow pipe group by the downflow pipe lines, thus resulting in the overall mixing of gases. The arrangement of the pipe lines may be two stages or more than two stages, and the shape of the pipe lines may be cylindrical, polygonal, or hollow.
