    • PURPOSE:To generate a pulselike exciting force in only one direction vertical to the shaft of a thin type by mounting eccentric loads in the same amount with the phase shift of 180 deg. on both shafts of a tandem-compounded motor and making a opposite rotation for both shafts each other. CONSTITUTION:An eccentric weight 7a is mounted on a rotary shaft 6 in one side, and the rotary shaft in another side is connected with a concentric gear device 9 which output shaft 8 is made to rotate oppositely to the shaft 6 with the equal speed, and another eccentric weight 7b in the same amount is mounted on the output shaft 8 at a position with the 180 deg. phase shift from the eccentric weight 7a. When the eccentric weights 7a, 7b are placed on a position (a), centrifugal forces Pa, Pb to an axis X-X are offset because the directions are opposite each other, then the exciting force is made to be zero. When the eccentric weights 7a, 7b are placed on a position (b), the directions of the centrifugal forces Pa, Pb are the same and the exciting force corresponding to Pa + Pb is effected to the axis X-X. With this arrangement, the pulselike exciting force can be generated in only one direction intersecting orthogonally with the shaft of the thin tube.

    • PURPOSE:To permit vibration of a thin tube in a position where it could not be excited heretofore, by an apparatus wherein guide plates at the distal end of a flexible tube are inserted into a thin tube, and a ball is shot out through a guide groove. CONSTITUTION:A direction converting section 1 of a thin-tube vibrator has such a construction that guide plates 10, 11 mounted rotatably about the axis are fixed to the distal end of a flexible tube 2 by screws 3, 4. The direction converting section 1 is smoothly rotatable about a bearing 9 fixed to the distal end of the tube 2 and, at the same time, it is jointed by fitting the projected part of the direction converting section 1 with the recessed part of the bearing 9. Compressed air 7 is now abruptly introduced to blow away a steel ball 5, so that the ball passes through the tube 2 and the guide groove 6 and then strikes against the inner wall of the thin tube, thereby to vibrate it. By so doing, it becomes possible to vibrate thin tubes even in heat exchangers or the like for tapping test, which tubes are in positions where they could not be vibrated heretofore.

    • PURPOSE:To excite a thin tube at a position where no thin tube can conventionally be excited, by attaching a spherical guide ball to the end of a torque wire, and providing the torque wire with a plurality of eccentric weights each supported at both sides thereof by guide plates. CONSTITUTION:A thin-tube exciting apparatus has a spherical guide ball 2 attached to the end of a flexible torque wire 1, which has a plurality of eccentric weight parts 5 each provided with an eccentric weight 4 supported at both sides thereof by guide plates 3. The eccentric-weight parts 5 are rotated by a motor 8 through the torque wire 1 protected by a guide tube 10 from the end part of a thin tube 6. As a result, the thin tube is forcedly excited by the rotation of the eccentric weights, thereby allowing a tapping test. By inserting the apparatus of the invention into a thin tube of a heat exchanger, to be subjected to a tapping test, at any position, it is possible to excite a thin tube at a position where no thin tube can conventionally be excited.
