    • PURPOSE:To shorten a construction period, by a method wherein a work platform mechanism is lifted by jacking-up devices being raised along external board-reinforcing members, following which a set of horizontal beams are stacked in multistage shape and the work platform mechanism is simultaneously raised, and thus blocks of a towerlike structure and horizontal beams are fixed. CONSTITUTION:Internal and external cylindrical blocks 3a, 4a are progressively lifted by a tower crane 1, and the external cylindrical blocks 4a divided and the internal cylindrical blocks 3a are respectively installed at an upper work platform 11a and at a lower work platform 11b. At this time, stoppers 91, 92 for each of guide supports 9 are engaged with a ring 12, securing pins for upper and lower clamping devices each are inserted into pin holes, and thus supporting devices for masts 10 are ready to break away from the ring 12. After that, the work platforms 11a, 11b are lifted by jacking-up devices, the masts 10 are moved to the most upper position and supporting devices for the masts 10 are engaged with a ring 12. During this work, horizontal beams 7 are placed, following which the stoppers 91, 92 are allowed to break away from the ring 12 and the jacking-up devices are lowered by operating and thus the guide supports 9 rise. After that, the upper and lower stoppers 91, 92 are engaged with a ring 12 and the supporting devices for the masts 10 are allowed to break away from the ring 12. Such erecting movements are repeated and a chemney stack is progressively erected.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the corrosion around the top of a tubular body as well as the interference between tubular bodies with each other by a method wherein a flexible member is provided in a gap between the tops of neighboring tubular bodies while a corrosion preventive member, constituted of a cover member, is provided. CONSTITUTION:Cover members 6, 5 are secured to the tops 4C, 4B of tubular bodies 2B, 2C, which are opposed across a gap 3B. One end of the cover member 5 is secured to the tubular body 2C so as to stand upright and a flexible member 8 is fitted to the bent end 5A thereof. The flexible member 7 is arranged so that the tip end thereof is abutted against the cover member 5 so as to prevent the generation of a gap. The flexible members 7, 8 are formed by butyl rubber or the like, for example, which is excellent in the resistance to acid. When smoke passes through the tubular body 2C only and the smoke does not pass through the tubular body 2B, the cover member 5, secured to the tubular body 2c, is elongated and a relative deviation is generated between the cover members 5, 6, however, this relative deviation is absorbed by the displacement of the flexible members 7, 8 whereby the generation of an excessive stress is prevented. Even when the difference of expansion is generated between the tubular bodies 2c, 2B, the gap 3B is covered by a corrosion preventive member 1B at all times, therefore, corrosion may be prevented preferably.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the load bearing force of a joint part to raise buckling strength by providing a reinforcing ring on the inner circumferential part of a main pipe. SOLUTION: This steel pipe branch joint structure is constituted by joining together by welding a main pipe 1 consisting of a continuous cylindrical steel pipe and branch pipes 2 cut apart by the main pipe 1 and consisting of the cylindrical steel pipe in the crossed state. A reinforcing ring constituted of a ring plate 3 and a flange plate 4 is provided on the inner circumferential face of the main pipe 1 by welding. The reinforcing ring (the ring plate 3 and the flange plate 4) is arranged on the position where the main pipe 1 and the branch pipes 2 are intersected with each other in the condition making around the inner circumferential face of the main pipe 1 in the circumferential direction. Hereby compressive force applied in the axial direction of the branch pipes 2 is supported with the reinforcing ring, deformation of the main pipe 1, accordingly, the branch pipes 2 is restrained, and hence the strength is improved.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove the source of vibration from a tube body and avoid oval vibration in the tube body by a method wherein an inner tube is provided in the tube body near the curved part of a smoke discharging passage from a flue to the tube body so as to have double tubular type with a gap between the inner tube and the inner surface of the tube body. SOLUTION: An inner tube 200 is provided at a curved pat 2 from a flue 1 to a tube body 3 so as to be double tubular type. The length l2 of the inner tube 200 is as high as 1.5d at most when the diameter of the tube body 3 is shown by (d). The inner tube 200 is fixed to a base as well as the flue 1 and is provided so as not to be contacted with the tube body 3. Exhaust smoke, sent from a boiler or the like into the flue 1, is curved at a curved part 2 and is discharged out of the outlet port 4 of the chimney through the tube body 3 while generating a fluctuating pressure at the inside of the inner tube 200. In this case, the fluctuating pressure is generated in the curved part 2 from the flue 1 to the tube body 3, however, the fluctuating pressure exerts only on the inner surface of the inner tube 200 having a sufficient strength and will not exert on the tube body 3, readily generating the oval vibration, and, accordingly, the oval vibration will not be induced in the tube body 3.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the need for the removal of a lining by carrying in the single-ring internal cylinder of a high corrosion-resistant sheet metal being wound in a multiple manner and having a diameter smaller than the inside diameter of a chimney from a flue port, expanding the diameter of the internal cylinder to the inside of the existing lining and forming an internal cylinder by successively extending the internal cylinders. SOLUTION: A plate material for a single ring consisting of a high corrosion-resistant sheet metal such as stainless steel is wound beforehand in a multiple manner in a factory, etc., and constrained by a lever block under the state, in which an outside diameter is shrunk, and a shrunk cylindrical body 5a is formed. The shrunk cylindrical body 5a is carried into an existing chimney cylinder 1 by a truck 11 from the flue port 4 of a removed duct 3. A lever block is loosened gradually in the cylinder 1 and the diameter of the cylindrical body 5a is expanded, and the cylindrical body 5a is welded after the diameter reaches a specified diameter and single ring cylinders 5b are formed while internal cylinders 5 are extended and formed on the inside of an existing lining 2. At least one of the internal cylinders 5b is used an expansion ring at that time, and the generation of thermal stress due to a temperature change is prevented. Accordingly, the lining need not be removed, and the term of works for repair can be shortened.

    • PURPOSE: To form the whole of a chimney in a slim state and to reduce weight by a method wherein a cylinder body through which smoke flows is inserted in an outer cylinder, the outer cylinder comprises a plurality of corner columns and horizontal materials, and curved panels, which share the influence of vibration and wind with each other. CONSTITUTION: An outer cylinder 2 is provided at four corners with corner columns 3 and the corner columns 3 are coupled together through a horizontal material 5. A number of curved panels 4 being thin and having a curvature in the direction of height are mounted on a plane space constituted of the horizontal material 5 and the corner column 3. A reinforcing material is arranged in an outer cylinder 2, a cylinder body 1 is supported, and horizontal displacement is constrained. This constitution prevents the cylinder body 1 from being influenced by wind and rain, eliminates a need for a heat insulation material, supports a fall moment by wind by the corner column 3, supports horizontal displacement by inplane shear rigidity of the curved panels 4, resists against a wind pressure by the membrane effect of the thin curved panels 4 and transmits it to the horizontal material 5. By sharing a role with each other as noted above, a chimney is formed in a slime state and weight is reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate necessity of making wall thickness of cylindrical body of a smoke stack heavier locally by embedding in top end of a lower cylindrical body of steel-reinforced concrete set up on the ground an upper cylindrical body having anchor reinforcing steel bar attached to its bottom end by welding so that concentration of stress to the lower cylindical body can be prevented. CONSTITUTION:When wind blows in the direction of arrow A, bending moment is conveyed toward top end of a lower cylindrical body 1 in an attempt to allow an upper cylindrical body 2 to bend to the leftward. As the bottom end of upper cylindrical body 2 is uniformly embedded in the top end of lower cylindrical body, attraction and tension do not act locally, and holding power of concrete 3 to support the bottm end of upper cylindrical body does not have to be large. Although wind pressure acting on the upper cylindrical body 2 causes shearing force to a plane surface at which the upper cylindrical body 2 and the lower cylindrical body 1 join together, since the shearing force is evenly borne by the bottom section of the upper cylindrical body 2, occurrence of stress can be minimized. And therefore, this method eliminates necessity of making wall thickness of the top section of the lower cylindrical body 2 locally heavier.
