    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electron gun for a cathode-ray tube capable of reducing a dispersion in performance among products caused by machining errors.
      SOLUTION: The electron gun for a cathode-ray tube includes cathodes 1, 2 and 3, a control electrode 4, an electron-flow extraction electrode 5, a focusing electrode 6, and an anode 7. The electron-flow extraction electrode 5 has first, second and third electron beam holes 11, 12 and 13 arranged in a line. The side of the focusing electrode 6 opposite to the electron-flow extraction electrode 5 has fourth, fifth and sixth electron beam holes 21, 22 and 23 arranged to face the first, second, and third electron beam holes 11, 12 and 13, respectively. The fourth and sixth electron beam holes 21 and 23 in the focusing electrode 6 are shaped to connect the sides of the straight lines of semicircular parts 21b and 23b to one side of each of square parts 21a and 23a, with the square parts 21a and 23a disposed outside and the semicircular parts 21b and 23b inside.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-line electron gun for a cathode-ray tube in which an optimal electron beam track can be easily obtained, without redesigning a first and a second member of the focusing electrode and the final accelerating electrode. SOLUTION: This in-line electron gun for cathode-ray tube comprises a main focusing lens that is composed of a focusing electrode and a final accelerating electrode 2. The final accelerating electrode 2 includes a first member 21 that is opposed to the focusing electrode and has a beam passing aperture 21a of elliptical shape, a second member 22 that is positioned at the back of this first member 21 and has three independent beam passing apertures 22a-22c, and a third member 23 that is positioned at the back of this second member 22 and has three independent beam passing apertures 23a-23c. An overhanging part (field adjustment means) 4 that overhangs from the end face 23d opposed to the end face 22d of the second member 22 toward the main focusing lens and is perpendicular to the plane including the three electron beams 3 is provided at the third member 23.
