摘要： An apparatus for irradiating a biological substance with a substantially uniform quantity of radiation energy comprises a radiation-generating device for producing radiation energy, a support structure for receiving the biological substance, and a motorized mechanism for reciprocating the radiation-generating device along a given path whereby the biological substance receives radiation energy from the radiation-generating device at each passage of the radiation-generating device. A series of sensors lie into a given plane and are subjected to radiation energy from the radiationgenerating device upon each passage of that radiation-generating device for sensing and measuring the quantity of radiation energy by surface unit passing through the given plane and reaching the biological substance. Finally the radiation-generating device and the motorized mechanism are de-energized when the measured quantity of radiation energy by surface unit has reached a predetermined value.

摘要： All known gas pool heaters connect between the filtering system and the jetting system. They also are designed to operate continuously throughout the swimming month s to maintain the pool water temperature within a degree of the user's settings. In this invention, the pool heater is corrected between the filter and the pool jetting system with a two-way valve. Rather than jetting the heated water through th e normal jets of a pool which is on the top of the pool, this pool heater has a hose that is placed into the bottom of the pool and jets the hot water into the bottom of the pool. This system allows the user to send the water to either the pool jets or to the bottom of the pool. By sending the heated water to the bottom of the pool, there is a far more efficient transfer of heat between the pool water and the heated water because the heated water will no t be effected by the outside wind and/or temperature and the pool will be heated from the bottom up (heat rises). In this invention, the pool heater is designed to function with a simple barbecue gas tank rather than a full time hook-up to a gas line that decreases the cost of installation by approximately $ 800.00. In this invention, the pool heater is designed only to heat the pool water o n demand and not to continuously maintain the pool water at a specified temperature. By heating the water and using a thermal heating blanket on the pool surface, the pool heat er will use far less gas than if operated continuously throughout the swimming months. 3
