摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel subject peptide which has a specific amino acid sequence, reacts with T-lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of a patient with the allergy to cedar pollen and is useful in the treatment and prevention for allergy to cedar pollen as a hyposensitization agent to make the T-cells participating to the development of the pollinosis immunologically unresponsive. SOLUTION: This peptide is a novel T-cell epitope peptide having the amino acid sequence represented by formula I and formula II and reacts with the T-lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of a patient with allergy to cedar pollen. Thus, this peptide is useful in the treatment and prevention for allergy to cedar pollen as a hyposensitization agent to make the T-cells participatting to the development of the pollinosis immunologically unresponsive. This peptide is prepared by chemically synthesizing the overlapping part of 30 amino acid residue in all over the range of the whole 353 amino acid region of the cedar pollen antigen in the form of a residue of 10 amino acids, culturing the 10 amino acid residue together with the T-lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of the cedar pollen allergy patient for 5-7 days and measuring the radioactivity of H-thymine with a liquid scintillation counter before the completion of the culture thereby selecting the epitope capable of activating the T-lymphocytes.
